These definitely make a noticeable difference, even unamplified. The Kicker speakers are substantially more clear and full sounding. I'd like to get an amp eventually, but I'm no audio expert and I'm not sure what works with the B&O system.
They also look way cooler!
In this video, the drivers side is a Kicker and the pass. side is stock.
Install notes -
Pop the speaker cover off the stock pods and unplug the speaker before unbolting the pod.
If you have a hardtop you'll need a really stubby torx/ratchet combo to get the top screws out. It's tight but doable. Factory hardware is Torx plus. I used a regular torx on the top screws, but MAKE SURE to use TPlus on the lower bolt. It's like a 3" long bolt and quite tight.
