Air tags are only $25
Air Tags only work within Bluetooth (close) range of Apple devices that have not had sharing disabled. Probably not much use if I lose my Bronco key out in the boondocks away from crowds of iPhones:unsure:.

I have not done this, but I believe there is a way to remove a key. Not sure if that is something an owner can do, or if it requires a locksmith or dealer. I have a relationship with a locksmith who does a lot of YouTube videos--two of my vehicles are featured in his videos--I can ask if he is familiar with that procedure.
Would be nice to know if it can be done by an owner or requires a dealer or locksmith. Let us know please if you find out.

I have some answers, being I have been selling parts for 42+ yrs--mostly at Ford.
315 mhz is regular door opening frequency.
902 mhz is remote start frequency

Would this work if I had to buy a fob and have dealer program it? I bought used and only got one, which the dealer shoulda make seller buy one or the dealer I bought the bronco from should have provided it, but didn’t. Luckily I had insurance that covered it at no charge, but had to say I lost it.
Dealer only got one key when traded in/bought at auction etc -- That`s all you get ,Unless dealer makes it a CPO used car, then it needs two.

Don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure you need 2 keys to inexpensively program a third
Unless you have a IDS or the new one FDRS ? Or an aftermarket programmer than will program keys.

I didn't worry about getting either key cut. I figure if I lose one of the original FOBs, then I'll worry about getting the keys cut. I just bought them for 2-FOB programming insurance.

I mean... I've only used my key once, and that was just to see if it worked.
Not a program not having the back up key cut UNTIL the vehicle battery is dead, then you will have no way to open the vehicle !

Make sure the FOB looks the same and check your existing FOB part-number if you have it. For MY 2022 Base this was the info:

FCC ID: M3N-A2C931423

Ford ID: M2-DT-15K601-AB 315 MHz
ABF39373 315 MHz 25822

Part #: 164-R8295, 5940319, M2DT-15K601-AB (all appear the same)
The 164r part number listed above is a Rotunda part--which is where Ford wants us to buy our keys from any why some dealers prices are high --I know ours is because we would not have even looked for a 15k601.Most Vehicles don`t have a 15K601 part available. Ford will probably discontinue the 15k601s any minute now.

If you program a new third fob with the two original, does the new third become an original to then program a fourth with, or would a 4th fob need the original two again?
Any 2 fobs would work to program the 4th.

I saw that in the manual and wondered, say you have 4 like the OP and lose one. You want a fourth again for whatever reason. You still have 3 so you can program, but the Bronco thinks you have 4. How do you delete the one you lost so you can program a "new" fourth?
All keys would need to be erased and then reprogram any you have plus any new ones you got.

There is no way to erase just a single key.

You can clear ALL keys with a variety of scanners (Forscan, FDRS, etc.), but then you’d need a dealer or licensed locksmith to program the keys you do want back.

I mentioned this in my video, but there are four key slots in the Bronco, so you can program two extra keys yourself, and lose up to three keys before you’re forced to visit the dealer/locksmith.

Anyone with a manual get this to work successfully? I've tried a bunch of times with both methods and it still isn't working for me.

(I have programmed keys on my F150 before, so this isn't an entirely new process for me)

I mapped my third fob today. I had to do the process three times to get it to sync but it ultimately worked. Though I counted out the 5 and 10 second intervals, I think i was going too slow.

I reco only waiting three seconds for each key.
The whole process needs to be under 30 seconds or it wont work.

But it does work!
Thanks, this helped. I was waiting for 5 chimes before swapping. I only waited for 3 and it worked on the first try.

Does anyone have a link for one that works with the 2023 badlands? It has the remote start so the base key isn't the same. Thank you all in advance...

Thank you...I asked him to let me know when they're back in stock. I want to put a console vault in my bronco but will hold off as once it's in, I can't code any keys...
The bottom of the vault is open so you still have access to code keys and start the Bronco if the battery in the fob is dead.

I bought my genuine Ford key fob from Best Key Supply last year. The 4-button M3N-A2C931426 part number is what you want for Badlands. This key includes an uncut blade. It's currently $65 from them.

I wonder if this would work for programming a key pad? I didn’t order my Bronco with the key pad so I bought it from the ford website and have yet to take it in to the dealer to program it. I may try it and see what happens.

Thats the same fob that I used. Does your fob not match the one in the original post? Should be the same part #.
