Could adding the shifter-mounted +/- switch found in the other Bronco models to the Raptor be as easy as adding the switch and plugging it in to the existing harness? Is the wiring harness with needed plug the same for all AT Bronco models and already under the console?

My G2 Raptor had it In addition to the paddle shifters and I found it so much easier and convenient than the paddles.

Thanks

You will get the same response you got on ford raptor forum…..it’s a 10 speed and sucks to “shift on your own”.

I didn't post anything about my Bronco Raptor on the Ford Raptor Forum.

I hate my truck's current shift strategy and not a fan of the OEM paddle shifters.

My Gen2 (F150) Raptor had both paddles and a +/- switch on the shift lever and IMO it was much easier and convenient in those times I wanted to manually control the truck...

Non-Raptor Broncos have the shifter button and I suspect share the same wiring harness under the console..

thanks..

Ford performance tune may fix your dissatisfaction with the shift strategies.

Try Boosted Grey Goose Design. He builds custom harnesses for Ford's.

He made it so we with Superduty's could use a Raptor's Paddle shifters. I think he also made it possible to put in an F-150 center console and shifter in the Superduty's too. Wouldn't hurt to ask...

Be very curious to see if it works. Would be nice to have the double redundant.

You posted a gen 3 raptor thread about same only regarding the trucks.

Ahh, yes, I think I posted that ~3 years ago when I was thinking about moving from a G2 Raptor to a G3.

Thanks.

The FP tune did not help in my case

.
I have the ford tune in both my gen 3 rap and Brap……in the Gen 3 it’s great. In the brap it holds gears too long.

Exactly my complaint....

Shifting on my MPT tuned 10 speed Raptor was perfect. My Bronco Raptor with FP tune holds gears way too long even in Normal Mode.in some cases it’s barely accelerating but still winding out gears..

Thanks
