Truck going in for the shock thing soon, though that sounds kinda lame as well. If it’s not broken I don’t think they do swuat
i just had 5 recalls done last week on my 2022, including the rear shocks. Mine were not corroded so they put some kind of wrap and a cover/shield on them. the other recalls were windshield remove/reseal, seat belt clips, rear camera replace, and rear child lock inspection. Nothing was malfunctioning on my Bronco. Outstanding recalls include the infotainment/APIM software of this thread, and fuel pump.
What annoyed me was that i had to go to 3 different dealers to find one willing to do recall. Dealer i purchased from told me to go to a Ford dealer with a body shop to get windshield done. ALL of the dealers sub out for glass work.
The third dealer I talked to not only arranged for the windshield but took on the rest of the recalls without me asking _and_ gave me a loaner Bronco while they had mine. Took them 2 weeks.

I talked to ford dealer and they said a physical part needed replacement. It is an overheat issue. I have a 2024 Heritage 2 door manual. And as one could guess from that build spec I neither have the app or auto updates. It’s a truck not an IPhone.
With no remote start I have zero need for a phone app. Was funny the dealer trying to rationalize why I needed the app when I picked it up. I mean I can see why Ford would want me to have the app…… 🤑. Automatic with remote start totally makes sense.

There is no part replacement on here unless your APIM fails during the software update. With yours being a 2024 they wouldn't know that it fauls until software is available on May 18. Also the reason they want you to download the app is because it's a metric that the salesmen are graded on. I also believe with the app you will get remote start. My wife has a Heritage as well and she does not have remote start on the fob but she gets it with the app

Thos recall does not involve parts. It's a software updates. 2026-2025 Broncos remedy is available. 2024 will have the remedy available on May 18th . 2021-2023 Broncos will be available June 1

I got the safety recalled yesterday and today this happened...

So the recall is for the whole screen turning off due to overheating. Usually a black screen on the camera screen means an issue with the camera or wiring. If you want to send me a DM with your VIN I'll see what's going on as long as you have Ford pass enabled

I have a '24 Heritage Limited. My next OTA (it's been qualified now apparently) will be for the APIM module (Sync) and it will be 26.2.1.6.5.3. This may be a slight variation of the same OTA that went out for 26-25 models, and may even be a different rev than what goes out to earlier MY. No idea when they plan on pushing it out to my truck though. And yes I've read the bulletin, but dates are fluid with these folks.

Agree got manual too… but I have forgotten to lock it with stuff in it, remote lock.

The phone never seems to match the vehicle data. Tire pressure readings lmao

FWIW... My '25 Badlands was showing the open recall on NHTSA and Ford's website for the last couple weeks, but was not showing it in the app until Tuesday of last week... so I tried to "initiate" an OTA update for this latest recall, without success  So I called my dealer last Thursday to check on getting the recall done, and to verify if it was going to be available OTA or not. They looked my VIN up, confirmed I needed the update/recall done, and asked me when I wanted to drop the vehicle off, OTA was not available for the recall fix... and that they'd need the vehicle for a full day (drop it off in the morning, pick it up next morning???). I chuckled, told them I would just wait until the rush was over, then look at scheduling, because I wasn't having any issues....

Friday, before I left the house I again tried/check to see if any update, notta... by Saturday I had forgotten about it and all was good. Saturday afternoon I go to leave the house and when I went to start the Bronco I get the update notice... it installed the recall update via OTA, it was done, no further action required... By Sunday afternoon I noticed the app had updated and showed "0 Active Recalls", our of curiosity I checked NHTSA and Ford's websites and both also showed no open recalls... the updating on the app and both websites so fast was a bit of a surprise...

The funny part was... yesterday, I get a call from my dealer out of the blue, they did had ran my VIN again and I actually have no recalls that need to be done. Then went on to tell me its common that when these recall notices go out, they go out in mass, "its sent to thousands of owners". So thousands of people will initially get the notices, but there will be a lot thats included and get notices that doesn't actually have a recall... but that it gets straightened out as they work thru it. They told me don't worry about it, the recall didn't really apply to my Bronco... After they finished with their spiel, I let them know about the recall update my Bronco did OTA sometime Friday night /Saturday morning, the confirmation message on the display in the vehicle, and then the reason I wasn't showing on their list anymore was because all three "lists" (NHTSA, Ford, & the App) had updated Sunday, the day before... and I politely let them know that I had been reading about all this on a forum, which had more accurate information than they apparently did, and suggested maybe they check it out lol the whole times i was going thru explaining what had actually happened, when and why... he sat there in utter silence... then said "well damn, well if anything comes up that you need help with, let us know we're always here"...

Sooooooo, all that to say, there's a lot of people working at each dealer location, and at a lot of the dealers there's a lot that you might talk to that just don't take the time to familiarize themselves with what's actually going on with a particular issue, unless you really press them...

I hopped in my Bronco Friday afternoon to go home from work, and as soon as it started I got the notice on my screen that the update was downloaded and applied. I haven't experienced any quirks so far. 🤞
My bronco won’t unlock without me pushing the button…. That started yesterday after the update. I have smart unlock
