Amazing. It's easy to blame one part of the organization for these things. If you've ever performed a Root Cause Corrective Action analysis on a problem like this, the answer(s) typically show that it takes a whole village to cause a major blunder. The fault or some portion of the fault typically lies in multiple departments.

And when these things keep happening repeatedly and in the public eye, the fault is clearly at the very tippy top of the pyramid. The problem is the one(s) pulling down tens of millions of dollars per year. They take the whopping pay check as compensation for the whopping responsibilities.

Glad I got a 2024

My 2024 was bult in November of 2024. Got to dealer in Feb 2025. How do they build 2025's in July 2024 and subject to a recall but a 2024 built 4 months after a 2025 is not.

Build dates have never been accurate on any Bronco recalls. Build dates really don’t matter, affected actual VINs do.

There’s multiple ones claiming build dates of 9/2020 when the Bronco didn’t even start production until like June of 2021 lol

I have the much more robust and reliable 2.7L, but I'm curious. 🙃 In the Ford parts breakdown, is there a part number/name for the 2.3L "Engine Assembly"? I'd imagine it doesn't include ancillary items like the alternator, turbos, and various other gizmos? Or maybe it does if it's the same part that gets dropped into the chassis on the assembly line.

Where did you learn that the 2.7 is more reliable than the 2.3? It’s not.

Full-time UAW autoworkers at the Detroit Big Three (General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis) earn top-tier base wages ranging from $42 to over $50 per hour (about $85,00 to $104,000 annually). When including robust benefits, defined pensions, profit sharing, and healthcare, total compensation packages can easily exceed $120,000 to $150,000 per year depending on seniority and overtime.

This is for jobs that don't exactly require a lot of education or skills. Does the guy mowing the field make as much as Patrick Mahomes? Does the CEO (and Patrick) make too much money? Sure, but to blame something like this on CEO pay is as ignorant as it gets. Since when has the guy(s) at the top not made a lot of money? Show me someone obsessed with what others are making, I'll show you an wannabee millionaire overcome with greed. Why do you think all these politicians amass millions attacking the "rich" while extolling the virtues of communism. Do you want to buy a car from a company where everyone is "equal" and earns the same wage? I hope you are happy with a Yugo or Trabant because that is what you get if you are one of the lucky ones that can afford one and is allowed to have one! I'll stay with big bad Ford, GM or Toyota. Speaking of Toyota, amazing how a company that pays its line workers significantly less than GM and Ford has a reputation for building the highest quality vehicles. For what its worth Toyota executives earn between 5 - 10 million a year. Less than Ford and GM, but still obscene.

There are part numbers for "fully dressed engines" but typically those aren't available except in some situations like this.
Most service engines options are either long blocks or short blocks.
I don't know what Ford is going to do with this recall because there is no parts information yet.
Could be a long block, could be fully dressed. We will see.

First, poking fun since everyone undeservedly :poop: on the 2.7L in the Bronco, mainly because of one early batch of bad valves from a supplier.

Second, 🙃 is widely regarded as the emoji for sarcasm.

Personally, I'm not blaming the CEO pay, I'm blaming the CEO. He takes that massive compensation package for "all the responsibilities" of running a big, complex company. When the recall problems are this prolific, it's a systemic problem and the buck stops at the top. I'm sure he will gather tens of millions of dollars in a severance package, though, for all the good work that has been left behind in a smoldering heap of recalls.

Alan Mulally on the other hand, was not paid enough.

Then I guess you blame the Board of Directors led by Bill Ford who are responsible for the CEO's performance.

Ultimately, the CEO and the board also answer to the company's shareholders and public investors, who vote on key corporate decisions and board member elections. .... then without getting too political; there's always the President. :ROFLMAO:
