Thatās a Jeep top In that pic and the Jeep top is black on the outside and white underneath so it shows scuffs/scratches more. the Bronco MIC top is same color throughout so should be a slight advantage to showing scratches. Plus, the MIC top isnāt glossy so it wonāt show car wash swirl marks or trail pinstripping marks which the Black modtop does have a clear coat so the statement is true that MIC will show less than the black mod top.I thought people were trying to convince us that textured tops will hide scratches?![]()
Yeah, I don't understand the complaints. 1) we saw it on the fishing concept months ago, and 2) we knew it was a painted black hardtop.......what did people expect it to look like? Too shiny?? Duh, it's clearcoated paint.....This might be the most sense I've seen in this thread yet. A modular top from the beginning was always going to be a black painted top and eventually white. Pictures come out and what does it look like? A black painted roof on a truck. Like did people on here want it to look like a car that was halfway waxed and had a dull look to it? No its going to be shiny like paint is![]()
I saw the fishing concept in person and the top doesn't have a blinding shine to it. Some can't seem to understand what the lighting does to what they are seeing.Yeah, I don't understand the complaints. 1) we saw it on the fishing concept months ago, and 2) we knew it was a painted black hardtop.......what did people expect it to look like? Volunteers?Sounds like a challenge. Nice move. Looking forward to seeing what comes of it.
The window trims and the rear window hinges are the ugly gray. I don't understand that.seems like Ford still cannot get away from the two tone grey/black. take a look at the rear window. Looks unfinished.
Not a fan of the bling top. Too precious and glossy in my opinion. Hands down prefer MIC top...Yup. Not feeling this. Looks good, but the darker MIC top feels like the way to go if you plan on removing the top more than every once in a while.
It would match the paint on the body panels.I canāt imagine driving that glossy top through the brush in northern MN. It would get scratched all to hell!
Anything will scratch if you slide it across the floor. That's not trail damage.I thought people were trying to convince us that textured tops will hide scratches?![]()
Completely agree! One less thing to wax as well.Top is looking quite shiny. I think Iām liking the new darker MIC top.

I would think you'd need to apply something to it or you'll end up with a Chevy Avalanche.Completely agree! One less thing to wax as well.
