I like how easy the catch can install will be on the 2.7L. Not quite so straight forward on the 2.3L.

Catch cans around here are like a religion. Don't criticize people's choices on it, and just accept that it's a thing.

Was really hoping this was going to be cleaned up a bit more for production, but oh well.

After the initial WTF, I also quickly noticed the honeycomb structure of the hood. Interesting look and I wonder what the reason was for this design. Seem like it should add some structural integrity, but curious why that would have been necessary. Perhaps a sound-deadening function to it as well, but by all accounts there's not a lot of sound to deaden from this engine.

Shop Tech: Must have a vacuum leak.

6 months and 10 miles of vacuum hoses later...

Shop Tech: Nope just a loose gas cap! That'll be $5000 in labor + $25 for the gas cap.

i'm using '303 Aerospace' on anything rubber under the hood that i can get my shop rag on to stem dry rot as long as possible, as well as the weather stripping and interior plastic from dust. it's awesome! that and Gummi Pflege Stift' to restore leaky moon roof/ t-top seals[like when in a car wash] and or wind noise.
