Mocked up a concept for a Bronco Trail Truck. The idea is it that it's a sport utility truck meant for the trails and trips to Home Depot. Need a real truck? Buy a Ranger.

Specs:
  • Mansquach is standard
  • 2.7L is standard
  • Base trim only, with 5 pages of options
  • Rear door swings open or go down (tail gate)
  • Spare tire can attach to the rear door (tail gate) or front of bed
  • Roof and doors come off like God intended

Camper Special, Super Bronco, or maybe B-100.

As for styling I think it needs some sort of sport bars and overhead lights. The sport bars attach to the rear of the hardtop, and what comes off is the roof panels, sail (side) panels, and rear window panel. Leaving nothing but roll protection. That way you dont need a cage under that top taking up all the space.

You could also do the 70s style storage box under the bed in front of the wheels.

If you build it Ford I will switch work truck brands and trade in my 29 year old Comanche.
Just give me a metric ton package like my heep. Id much rather be hauling compost and climbing 6 foot coconut piles with that.

I love the idea, but I would put it on the 2-door chassis and make it a real half cab.

I actually purchased a standard cab, short bed, V6 F-150 to vaguely mimic such a concept (when next gen Bronco's were a far away dream)...and leveled it with upgraded suspension and A/T BFGs

And it better be able to tow at least 6500 pounds! For that matter, other than the Sasquatched Broncos, they need to be able to do 4500.

Can you show this this 2 door concept with an independent bed?

It wouldn’t be a Trail Truck if I did that. 😉 I might make a more truck-like variant (with a different name). So, stay tuned.
(y) That would be cool! Do you have any ideas on what you'd call it?

You know, what I like even more about this is that since the doors and fenders are easily removed, someone could make a fleetside panel really easily that could make this happen on day one. Hardest part of this is the hardtop.

Do it with this mockup of a 2-door on a 4-door body.

Cool idea though I cant see Ford ever doing it. What would be more feasible imo is to have a 'work bronco' option where the second row is completely gone so everything behind the front seats is a flat, bare cargo space.

Looks cool! I bet it only comes in a rainbow striped interior.
