Hey yall,

I wanted to know if there was anywhere easy and simple offroading course I could take my Big Bend Bronco out to try. I live in the Philly area if thats helps! Also does pa do meetups like some of the other states do for Broncos.

Not exactly what you are looking for per se, but I'm also in the great Philly/Bucks area and am my Bronco is being delivered on Wednesday. I'm actually starting to learn myself - I looked this up to do as a 101 class that I will probably do in the next two months and then hopefully from there join some of the Green trail guided rides until feeling comfortable in smaller groups

@mjrcu may I ask when your bronco was shipped? Mine was marked built 1/7 and got picture 1/12 but marked shipped maybe the 10th. I still have not heard anything about delivery. It was going rail. My dealer is in lehighton.

@Cleehb I never actually got a shipped notification or update on the trackers. Was delivered on1/26 a day before the 1/27-2/2 delivery window originally gave

@mjrcu my dealer called yesterday and told me mine was in finally. It didn’t change on the tracker either. They actually wanted me to wait until Monday to pick it up 😂

Off road consulting has good courses and is worth it for first timers if you cant find a group

If you haven't already, download the app onX Offroad. It will give you the locations of trails in your area. I'm in Berks, not too far from you, and I downloaded the app shortly after placing my reservation this past summer. I'm taking delivery of my Bronco on Monday. Also, check out www.readingoutdoors.com. It's in Schuylkill and Northumberland counties and encompasses nearly 20,000 acres of diverse terrain. $175/year for membership.

@capmoose I'm seriously considering it but not 100% certain yet. After only having my girl for a day and putting 34 miles on her, I want to think about it some more.

A couple of weeks ago we did a Wharton State Forest ride. I organized it off a new group I created to consolidate the broncos in the North East states for finding trail rides.

So sign up for https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/groups/northeast-trail-ride-connections.118/ and hopefully we would get more events going. Wharton is mostly mud holes and dirt/sandy trails, so not very technical but fun and a good opportunity to use your tow hooks and recovery straps. That group is intended as an open forum so if you have a date and place you want to go just post it and see who ants to go.

Also keep an eye on the NJ East Cost Broncos group as there are others there not far from u that are actively organizing rides as well. A lot of interest in Rausch creek and AOAA rides. Both these sites also collaborate with Off Road Consulting which you can google and they have regular first timer rides you can sign up for.

Oh and find the “Garden State Overland” group.. our Wharton ride rallied at same spot as them and we joined together. They do regular events.

Also if you want to just go with someone to Rausch Creek they have a Facebook group called Rausch Creek Connections which is for people to find each other for trail rides as they require riders to travel at least in pairs. (Which in general is just a good idea)

Hope this all helps.. I hope myself to get back out the either late feb or early march. I also recommend everyone getting cheap gmrs radios (~$50 on Amazon) for trail riding as it makes running a group so much easier
