The FORD on the tailgate looks great.
Thanks.

The letters are a replica with the same Font as the original.

The "F" is actually hidden when you look straight on. On the Original Bronco all the FORD letters were hidden by the spare tire.

I edited the first post I made.

Also, I have the CG 2dr also and was contemplating getting the same special decor body graphic on mine. But in matte black or a Ford blue, do you think that would blend well. Since you did both of yours, and are keen on the decor that i would get your opinion. I just want to put something subtle and not overbearing. Below is my CG.....

Are you also going white on top, grille and flares? Any ideas on front and rear bumpers? It would be cool to find a way to manipulate and fit retro 1st gen bumper styling.

I have yet to find replacement bumpers that would look right for a Retro Build. Brushed Aluminum maybe?

Maybe the Matte Black Stripe kit would look best. This one is very subtle on my Eruption Green Bronco. Then lower your Black Bronco Script Emblem a little.

Both of mine have the RiderGraphix Mid body Line Kit which I think looks best.

Your Bronco looks great! I do have another set of 37s that would be hard Not to install on the 2-Door as well, when the complete suspension is installed.

I don't know, but it would be nice to fabricate something of the sort and make it not only work, but look the part also.

Like my wife says to me, it only takes money and a great mind with equal hands. LOL!

The Bronco scripts are ABS temps, I'm waiting on my AR Industries heritage scripts. But I'm just trying to put together a graphic that compliments the color and body lines without being overbearing. That's why I like the special decor graphic. Thank you for your input!! Good luck with the 2dr!

Tires / Wheels and HD Tie-Rods are installed. 1" Level Lift and Upper Control Arms are installed.

The dealership installed my (E) tires and wheels before it left. They put 39psi in the tires and the ride was a little firm. Now at 32/30psi it drives awesome!

Ford Bronco 2023 2-Door Cactus Gray Special Decor Build IMG_20230202_135705

In the thread title is "Special Decor". For those not familiar, Special Decor was a certain trim package found only on the 1976 and 1977 Early Broncos. Really nothing so "Special" about it other than a distinctive Stripe Kit which goes across the Hood and down each side with a Blacked Out Center Grill and optional Body Color Top. It has always been my favorite Early Bronco and I will do the same with the 23 Badlands. I do have a Special Decor striped 2022 4-Door as well, but since this one is a 2-Door, I will also make it look more Retro like an original Bronco.

Here's the plan: (Subject To Change)

Suspension:

Icon Stage 8 Suspension System
Icon CDEV (Electronic Valve) 2.5" Coil-Overs
Icon IIC Computer - Controls Shock Dampening Settings via Icon APP on Smart Phone
Icon Upper Control Arms With Delta Joint
Icon Rear Upper and Lower Links
Icon Rear Adjustable Track Bar
Tires - 285x75x18 Toyo ATIIIs - Tall and Skinny look.
Wheels - Vox TR-16 - Polished, 18x9 - +12 Offset
Ford Performance, Heavy Duty HOSS 3.0 Tie Rods
1" Level lift - Initially

Exterior:

RiderGraphix - Special Decor Stripe Kit, Mid Body Line - White
Bronco Script Fender Emblems - Same Script as Early Gen1 Broncos
Remove Bucking Horse On Tailgate - Replace with White FORD Letters
Ceramic Treatment on Body
Xpel PPF on the Grill, Hood, Mirrors, Fender Flares and Around Windshield

Heritage Front Grill - Paint Black Center with Cactus Gray Surround
Ford 2.0 MIC Top - Paint Cactus Gray
Sasquatch Fender Flares - Paint Cactus Gray
Trail Sight Delete - Paint Cactus Gray
Baja Designs Pocket Fog Lights
Baja Designs Driving Lights - LP6s with Rudy's Bracket
Factory Roof Rack With Crossbars
Expedition One Rear Bumper With Tire Carrier
IAG Side Steps
SRQ Rear Shock Skids

Engine compartment:

Hood Struts

ARB Twin Compressor with Mount and Air Pressure Control Kit

Interior:

Dealer installed 30% Ceramic window tint on Front Windows
Xpel Ceramic Tint on Windshield - 70% - Mostly clear but has Great Heat Reduction
Xpel Ceramic Tint on Rear Glass - 30%
Ford All Weather Floor Mats and Cargo Liner
Archetyperacing Picatinny Rail on Dash for Mounting Phone and other items
Upgraded Speakers For B&O Sound System - Very Nice, Easy Upgrade in Sound Quality
- Kicker 4" - 3 Front Dash and 2 Roll Bar, 6 3/4" Kick Panels
JCR Tailgate Table
JCR Front Door Pockets
Ford Interior Grab Handles - Red
Stickerfab AC Vent Covers
Rear Seats Removed

Goose Gear Plate System with Rear Seat Delete
Goose Gear Rear Drawer Module System - 36" Depth Drawers.

I do have most of these parts already and they are piling up in my shop, so hopefully within a month or so most can be installed.

A 1" Level Lift, Upper Control Arms and HD Tie Rods with the Tires and Wheels have been installed. As soon as I get all the rest of the Icon suspension in hand I will have it installed.

I like it! But it also makes me wonder if anybody with a Maverick has recreated the Luxury Decor Option yet! 😂

Nope. Body Color.

The Heritage Grill will have FORD letters and a Black Center and Body Color Surround like a 76-77 Special decor. I am looking into some type of Chrome trim between the two colors.

Here is a beautiful example of a Special Decor 77 Bronco.

I'm glad to see a thread actually calling these stripes by the correct name. 🙂

That is a set of reproduction stripes I made and one of my photos from when we were getting judged at an AACA show. You can see it behind the red Ranger Bronco we restored for another customer at that same show. The orange 77 is the one we originally used to make the patterns for exact reproductions of the Special Decor stripes over 20 years ago before it was restored.

I've made them for countless Early Broncos, including several of the custom 4 doors, including the white one which just brought $435K at Barrett Jackson a couple weeks ago.

I even have Special Decor style stripes on our Volvo Bronco hauler. 😁

Yes, I make them for the 6G as well.

Here's a sample of some of the many variations of tailgate letters I make which I also supply to several of the Early Bronco vendors and well known restoration shops.

I also do a scaled down version for Early Bronco golf carts we used to make that should fit the space on the 6G better. I'm actually printing a set tomorrow for a customers 6G.

I am very familiar with your work. I have ordered from you in the past for my Early Bronco restorations. I see you have some new designs I have not seen before. Great stuff!

I am on classicbroncos.com as well.

I upgraded the B&O Sound System with all new speakers. I am amazed on how poor this "Premium" Stereo System is.

I was going to include an Amp as well, but after installing just the speakers there is a great difference in sound quality. There is a much clearer sound, more volume and additional Bass compared to stock setup. I'm sure it could sound better, but I think I'll just do the Kicker speakers.

Here are the speakers I installed:
Kicker 47KCS404 - (5) - Three in the Dash and two in the rear Roll Bar pods
Kicker 47KSC6704 - (2) - Kick Panels

Ford Bronco 2023 2-Door Cactus Gray Special Decor Build F63D708E-EBED-4485-B356-0C4168C5A10D

Nice!

Cactus Gray seems to be a good color for a retro build. And 2-door of course. Not really into a 4-door retro build. Doesn't quite look right.
