Yep, manual quick disconnects are not a problem for me been there before lol.
Then you should not need the rock crawl mode either... I was really torn between the two models... spent many hours trying to figure out how to install the gear missing from one into the other.

I saw where a guy did get the auto disconnect up and working on a WT... wired to an aux button... none of the nanny's controlling it so the pressure sensors went unused.

I need cooler shots, but I’m always solo🤷🏻‍♂️
I concur. I like the freedom, the aloneness, and well, the risk of solo off-roading. I'm talking remote southwest desert. Google images for "Snake Valley Utah." I come across two tire tracks that vanish in the distance, I want to ride them to the end. Trails and group runs are lots of fun, but nothing beats being out there with your truck, your experience and resourcefulness, how you prepared, and whatever unexpected circumstances you encounter.
Incidentally, I'm 76.

Yes, while the disconnect is a really cool feature I wanted the Hoss 3.0 more than the disconnect (mainly the rack), In past vehicles I would always use quick disconnects when I got to the trail head and re-connected once back on pavement I've never had an instance where I would need to re-connect on the trail so not a big deal for me.

And if I did go with the auto disconnect I would want it like the guy you mentioned and not have the nanny controls.

Then you should not need the rock crawl mode either... I was really torn between the two models... spent many hours trying to figure out how to install the gear missing from one into the other.

All I got…for now

I've seen a few people drowned their rigs in that puddle... It doesn't look like it, but it can get deep!
