Hi everyone. This is the start of my braptor journey. I have already built and am enjoying the raptorlander, which is more of my overland rig, now for the braptor, I want this one to be a flexible dune bashing off broader that I can sleep in but not be concerned about having an extra 500kg on the back and a tent in the roof. Here is everything in a list that is either here or winging it's way over the Atlantic to dubai for my Xmas project. I timed it right with black Friday sales so saved a lot. Mine is a bronco raptor code orange, only one spec in the middle east and that's with everything.

Jacking solution for soft sand (safe Jack already)

Will keep adding photos of stuff as either I do it or the shop does it. I think I'm going to do the trailrax myself next week. AAL will be done by the shop as I want some sound deadening material installed under the mass frame. Lights by shop and then I will tidy up the wiring, braid and heat shrink ect.

Here's the last 24 hours of work on the build. AAL gear installed, more on that separately though pending resolution from them. Puravida shelf in. Packouts done. Bulletpoint mount. Mabett lights. Note on that raptor crossbar needs to come out to remove airbag covers. I just dremeled a cut out to slide it behind the screw.

Monster hooks and trailrax done. We only use soft shackles on our recoveries so these are perfect. Trailrax was tough I think the foam for the clamps is a bit too thick. I folded it right in but struggled. Agency 6 grab handles.

Mabett lights, grab handles and the modcrate thingies. Don't seem to be having any light issues, was concerned having read other posts about odd behaviour.

Hey Alex, I live in Dubai and have a few questions:
1- Where did you install all of the items you've purchased?
2- I noticed you got TRMR half rack - did you get a roof tent for it?
3- How much did the shipping cost, especially for the AAL stuff?
4- Did you install batteries?

Hi Sami, Jacob sent me a message as well. I did the aal gear myself at home and the trmr. I don't notice any additional noise. I use an ecoflow delta 2 and have installed a victron 12 to 36v booster to charge at 400w. Works well. Battery on an AAL slide. Shipping was a lot. Nearly 3k usd air freight. But the drawer and slide and shelf are worth it. No rattles. I use the packout boxes to store gear so it works for me. All the electrical work was done by Torc and modern century. They are the best in dubai for this. They have also done aal installs for others but it's quite straightforward. I did notice a droop in the back when loaded up so I changed my springs for hyperco 2 inch HD. and it is now back to where it should be. I guess there will be a slight drop in performance with the extra weight but I don't notice it. I have 6 gallons of fuel and all the gear and a fridge. I also put sound deadening on the trunk floor which has helped as well. I don't think it is recommended to put a tent in the half rack but that was never my plan. I have a Ln overlandish pop up tent I put on the aal sleeper keeper. Pm me with any other questions. Happy to meet and show you everything too. Maybe at torc as they have some performance mods coming as well.
