I picked up a 24 Everglades from a dealer that a customer backed out of. It pretty much had all the specs I wanted except it does not have a tow hitch (yet).

The dealer removed the Everglades decal for me.

Delivery Day at Lithia Ford Missoula!

Eruption Green Metallic already qualifies you as excellent taste. The puppy approving is your highest deal of approval. Well played, well played indeed.

Good job facing the snorkel to the rear. Much less dust ingestion that way.

Alright....The DIY garage mod shop has been busy. It's been so much fun tricking this thing out.
I just took my dad out for a Bronco drive. He says I need a damn "oh shit handle" above the passenger window. I told him there's a product for that.

Here's the rundown and some photo's for the folks following along.

First test was to make sure the raft cooler would fitin the cargo area....thank god I don't need to buy a different size cooler for road trips. It fits, with plenty of room to spare. 90L Bear proof cooler "check"

Some easy mods to add to the off gassing aroma....

Maxina Floor Mats and Mabett vent deflectors (for the children). I bought the full Maxzina kit....front row, second row, cargo space, and back of the second row seat covers. Fitment is pretty good....I bet they will fit better after they can bake in the hot sun. In the Everglades...the cargo mat is designed for to fit in a rig without the slide out tail gate....so the cargo mat fits but doesn't fit as designed....so it folds up a bit net to the tail gate and the cut out marks for the cargo hold D-rings don't line up perfectly. If you have the slide out tail gate it might be tricky to find a cargo liner that lines up. Not a huge deal but something to think about.

Next up was a Mabett Door Handle cup things (x4)

N....pretty smooth install. Very handy place for kids to stash tootsie pop sticks, trash, and other treasures that would just end up on the floor.

I put on an Spigen matte finish screen protector. No photos, but a great new plastic smell to add to the mix. Love the matte finish. It really hides the dirt....or dirt looks good on matte.

Moving on to some exterior trick outs:
The Warn Winch cover to keep the dust, mud, and road crud out of the way. Removed the bright red warn logo patch. The winch shackle is by Factor 55....kind of a late night trigger pull on that purchase....but YOLO. The jewelry shackles are All-Top D ring shakles.

Some more exterior more critical upgrayyeds:
IAG Mud Flaps and the IAG EZ Step Full Length running boards. The IAG stuff was pretty slick. Well made and seemed to be good quality parts. The only gripe is the install manuals were not printed or included....I watched their You Tube videos to figure it out. They worked well but I guess I prefer some good ole Ikea/Lego style printed instructions.

Then some exterior cosmetics.....the Matte Black Pony and Bronco Script, to really push that black plastic look over the top.

Next weekend project is to install the Tow Hitch package ( VP2DZ15A416-B). I burned my pass points on the part and my local dealer said they will do the programming (for a nominal fee of course).

What a great weekend! Also up this week is a trip to the tint shop and some underspray of some black rubber sealer. Can't wait to smell that off-gas in the garage.

Love the build so far.
I also had a 1up rack and Kuat swing carrier but found that it was a little inconvenient to reach under the spare tire to open the kuat pivot every time I wanted to open the tailgate. It also doesn’t allow for hauling bikes and a trailer at the same time. So I made this adapter which allows a 1up rack to attach to the spare tire. As well as a tailgate limiter to keep the rack from hitting the body. I may be making another run of these if there is enough interest.

Thought you might find this helpful.

Wow. That’s a great piece you built. Did you need to reinforce/upgrade the door hanger? I’ve seen them for when people put a larger rim/tire onto the door.

I would be concerned about the weight of the 4 bike rack(the 2/3 rack is already heavy)…then adding 4 bikes. Would that put too much stress on the door/hinges?

Where did you find the aluminum snorkle vent? The plastic sucks!

Yes I have a tailgate reinforcement bracket, which I would recommend. I have had two bike on mine and was able to put all my body weight on it and shake the whole bronco without any tailgate or rack flex.
