Front sensors and adaptive cruise would be offline, or so it appears. Front camera view would also be compromised, but only when it's mounted. In my head I'm already planning a dolly to slide in and out of the trunk to mount it when I hit the trail. This is probably not for someone who is wheeling every weekend.

I like the idea and want to see it in action. Are you also thinking of building and selling heavy duty frame horn reinforcements?

VERY Interested in something like this if it can be shown to work for a BRaptor.
If it fits the Mod bumper without modifications, it fits the Raptor

I love innovation and always liked the idea of a removable winch. Warn had a solution for this with their receiver mounted cradle- with steel cable, it was a bear to move for one person, and I have seen more than one fail.

With that said- two items occur to me- not to disparage the product. More something to think about.
1) The frame horns are suspect and would need to be modified with someone elses mounts. The Warn/Ford solution bears this out and there have been many examples of bent and broken frame horns with hard pulls.
2) I would like to see some extreme pulls on this- hard angles sideways, up, down, etc and pulls that required up to 24,000lbs. Sound ridiculous? use a 12k winch and snatchblock, or multiple snatchblocks and you will see loads increase exponentially.

Most users of this solution on a Bronco are unlikely to be in extreme situations where that loading of this nature would be seen, but in that moment, for the one time it was required, I would be hesitant on this portable mount.

Recently installed BAMF front bumper & Warn 12k EVO winch. Combined weight was around 200#. A few thoughts.

1. As noted by @GreyZ, the weight won’t be fun to move & lift in place. Granted it would be a little lighter than my setup, about 120-130# with winch. During install I used my floor jack and some wood cribbing to roll and lift in place. Something like a cross brace may be a back saver here.

2. And to @userdude point, I saw about an 3/4” to 1” suspension drop from my setup. I’m guessing this would be similar. Not sure the weight of the modular but in my case my 200# was everything.

3. When doing my install, I optioned for frame horn supports from @Metal-tech 4x4. These things are beefy, reasonably priced and provide a solid solution. On a side note, customer support was top notch and I enjoyed spending money with them. Great company.

It doesn't look like the hood is all the way closed with that cable coming out. Definitely would be a no if the hood has to be open to plug it in.
Were you planning for a grille port to plug into? Or bumper port?
The electrical install in the video is crap. I can't believe they put that in the ad. The pictures show a much better install .

are you saying that you've seen bent horns with the warn/ford solution?
IIRC, that solution does beef up the frame horns.

Given my current setup and relay to aux 6, I could see putting an in-line Anderson connection on my current power wires, but would find a way to secure it under the bumper when not in use versus having to pop the hood.

These guys are selling a mount, not a complete package. No different than any other aftermarket winch tray on the market. The winch and power are up to you.

Even if they are not selling the complete kit, I would not have shown that wiring job. The install in the pics is much better than the video. It would be like a hitch company advertising their product but using the VW as an example , lol

Sorry- my comment wasn't clear. The Warn/Ford winch mount design has a robust reinforcement of the frame horns. Clearly they knew it was a very weak location to put such a high load. The bent horns have been with bumpers and mounts without any reinforcement.

This was my first reaction as well, but then I thought back to when a bunch of members put the unproven Rough Country high winch on and some, not all, depending on use...discovered that they needed frame horn support.
The community will be the real testing ground for any aftermarket product.

At least its close to what most people would install with the Anderson connection. The part where its coming out of the hood though, yah could've done better.
