Hi everyone — this is eTop Support from Bestop.
Heath, thank you for continuing to share updates with us. We’ve reached out to you directly, and I'd like to update the thread as well so the community is aware of our actions.
To make sure your concerns are fully resolved, we’re sending you a brand-new set of side windows and a brand-new rear window, and we’re arranging for our expert trainer and installer, Robert, to meet with you in person. He’ll install the new windows and inspect your entire eTop to ensure everything is fitting and operating as it should.
We want to make this right, and we appreciate your patience while we work through it.
If anyone else has similar concerns or even questions about the eTop, our dedicated eTop support team is here to help. You can reach us at [email protected] or 1-833-490-8090.

I cant speak for the OP Heath but im glad to see that @Bestop_Team is making the effort to do right by you. Had it come a few pages ago in this thread it would have been alot better but it is what it is. Personally i want to see any company that makes a good product succeed. But i also like to see that when people buy a product that they are satisfied with their purchase. I also feel like while the blunder looks like it came mostly from the installer it seems like alot of the responsibility falls on the manufacturer in the end. That is just the way it is. I hope it all works out and Heath can report back to all of us that hes satisfied with the final outcome. As consumers thats literally all we want. Good on you Bestop for the effort.

Man, I was really thinking about buying one of these… not so much anymore. Think I’ll keep my hard top.

Can we see what it looks like in the back with the top up? Where is the motor at for the top? Once the top is on you can't completely take it off, correct? Thx

Hi Heath,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review and for including photos — feedback like yours is incredibly valuable to our team. We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the ease of use and solid engineering of your eTop! We also want to acknowledge your note about the window fitment. We completely understand how that would be frustrating, and we appreciate you working with our Customer Service team on this. Your case is currently under review, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to make this right for you. Also, thank you for taking the time to hop on a quick call with us this morning to discuss the issue further. We appreciate you working directly with one of our team leads, and we’ll keep an eye out for the additional photos so we can move forward and get you taken care of.
We truly appreciate your patience and support as we work toward a resolution.

Bestop Team,

I have a 2025 Bronco Raptor that I’ve invested a significant amount of money into. I saw your top at SEMA last year and was immediately sold on it. I understand that the top you displayed there was likely adjusted numerous times to achieve a perfect fit.

However, after reading real world reviews, all of my intentions to purchase one of your soft tops are currently on hold. I would strongly recommend that your team begin posting updates on this forum outlining the fixes and improvements you’re making. While this may be a relatively small forum, several members here have a very large following and influence.

I completely understand that this top especially for the Raptor is new and may require refinement or design updates. That said, allowing this product’s reputation to stall due to a lack of communication would be a missed opportunity. Transparent updates and engagement here would go a long way toward restoring confidence and driving future sales.

Hello All, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We genuinely appreciate you calling this out, and you’re absolutely right that open communication matters, especially with a new product like the Etop. To provide an update following my last post: in Heath’s case, we not only replaced the side and rear windows, but also had our traveling technician on-site to work through the fitment in real time. During that visit, the eTop was adjusted to properly match the vehicle’s body line at the lower portion of the L-arm. That adjustment resolved the fit concerns, and the top is now operating and sealing as intended. We’ve since documented the results and shared a video showing the current fit and function.
As you mentioned, products like this, especially for platforms as unique as the Bronco Raptor can require refinement once they’re in real-world use. When we identify opportunities to improve installation guidance, adjustment points, or components, those updates are fed directly back into our training and support process.
We hear you on the importance of visibility, and we’ll continue to engage here and provide updates when there’s meaningful information to share. Our goal isn’t just to sell a top, but to stand behind it and support customers long after purchase. We truly appreciate the honest feedback and the opportunity to earn your confidence.
If you (or anyone else following along) have questions or want to speak directly with our eTop team, we’re always available at [email protected] or 1-833-490-8090.

Here is an updated video.

If we go to an approved installer and they rush the job, resulting in an incorrect alignment, would we contact you to coordinate the required corrections?

Good to see this was resolved. The installer may be the weak point in this setup. Best Top needs to make sure the installers they recommend are up for the job and do it CORRECTLY since they are representing the product and the company.

That was the point I was trying to make. The product could top tier but the third party installer could be the weak link.

lol. Funny unrelated pep boys story a buddy used to take is civic to pep boys for oil changes since he got it and one day he asked me to change his oil. When i got under there there was an oem honda oil filter on it. They apparently had been changing the oil but it was the original oil filter from honda when he got the car. I had to use every trick in the book to get that filter off. Those places scare me more than the dealer.

I know this is an older thread, but I figured it was a good place to post my experience.

I had some issues with Bestop and the installation, but I really love the top.

The installer network is wonky and customer service is surprisingly poor. When I initially ordered one, they had it routed to be delivered to an old address for a shop that had moved two years prior. I ended up cancelling the order just before they shipped it to some random building that was no longer an installer.

Once I swapped to a different installer and re-ordered, it went well until I got home and noticed a tear in it the next day. I had not used the top and certainly had not ripped it. Bestop resisted replacing it but after some conversation with the installer, they agreed to replace it "as a show of good faith but not as a warranty replacement." They just seemed kinda petty and disorganized.

Another example is the extreme variation in installer costs. One quoted me $2300, another $1150.

The replacement top has been excellent. It is incredibly convenient. I had a hard top previously. I like this much more. The latch on the passenger side is a little floppy, but that actually works better.

I would say in terms of sound, it is dramatically better than my brother's factory soft top. It is nearly as good as the hard top for things like traffic. The two exceptions are you get more noise under bridges and from large trucks than with the hard top (but still much better than the factory soft top). Interestingly, the E-Top is much more quiet with heavy rain or sleet than the hard top is.

I've had mine since last October. Despite the initial frustrations and my somewhat negative view of the company, I would do it again. It's the best of both worlds, IMO. This is the way the factory top should have been.

Great review! My wife is bugging me to get one on her B/R. I am still holding off but might pull the trigger soon.
