What winch and bumper/bumper mount are you guys running? Would you buy the same setup again? Please discuss.
I've read a lot of posts/comments regarding different bumpers, winch mounts, winches, etc for the Bronco Raptors. Appears to be quite a few options all with some level of functional issues with oem parts like acc and camera views.
I would prefer to keep both the acc and sensors functional as well as maintain the front camera. The Bronco is a daily driver first and foremost for my wife. We will take it offroading/trail riding on weekends as well as trips out west to do some rock climbing. We are often alone and don't do any crazy wheeling but things happen so I'd like to be better prepared than we are currently without any kind of winch setup.
We aren't big mudders so never going to look for mudholes. We do like some technical trails though. To date we have not encountered any rain out west to make the trails slick.
Hope that helps with our potential uses.

I’ve been looking to get a winch for my Braptor, but would like to keep the look and approach angle. Only solution I see is the HammerBuilt hidden setup. This requites a special small drum winch along with a replacement intercooler.

I have still have the modular bumper and have also thought about getting the winch plate and set it up for quick removal for when I’m not needing it.

In my opinion, most raptor winch setups hurt approach and don’t look so good.

Go @Maximus-3 removable winch mount, and don’t forget the frame horn reinforcements! Winch goes on only when needed, so I didn’t have to move around ACC, sensors or intercooler. I am also not carrying around the extra weight constantly, I strap it down in the back when headed to the trails and put it on when I think I might need it (or need to use it for someone else.) I also did the Anderson quick connect for the power, pop the hood and connect it.

Wish there was a rear winch set up. APG offered one for a while but it’s not on their website any longer, they didn’t answer my emails asking about it and didn’t return a call either. I don’t think I’d trust them with my money anymore anyway.

I’ve yet to find a front mount that looks decent and doesn’t stick out a mile.

Lobo Offroad has a hidden mount listed as “Coming soon” for ~$700.

I went with the FP Winch setup (BTW - Ford states that this will not fit on the Braptor) but, if I had to do it again, I would go for the Maximus 3 setup.

my Braptor isn’t my DD and it gets a lot of wheeling duty so the ability to swap on/off as needed is GOLD (for my use case). I would however, need to implement a cable management system because having the wires through the grill really triggers my OCD.

@TruckCamper spoke pretty highly of the Carli bumper and winch on his Braptor.

We have the Lobo winch skid on our 2dr.

Pros: Weight is kept low, doesn't affect clearance (approach angle), lighter than many winch bumpers + skids.
Cons: Need to crawl on the ground to operate clutch, sit or kneel on the ground to spool, extremely difficult to see drum (need flashlight).

At this point we prefer our Carli Winch Bumper on the Raptor.

It is the same weight as the factory modular bumper. Mounts winch feet forward. Still need to add frame reinforcement (not included). Has great lighting options. Extremely tucked in. Least protrusion of any winch bumper. Has almost zero impact on approach angle.

Biggest benefit is operation. Can 100% spool the winch from the front camera. Easy to reach clutch. Much faster operation than crawling on the ground.

Cons: Cost. Bolt on bumper wings not designed for much impact (great clearance tho). Bit time consuming to install. Although it is impossible to steal lights or winch without complete bumper disassembly.

DV8 just came out with a front winch bumper thats pretty good, actually the best one I have seen for a braptor. I run a Turn Offroad low mount winch plate. You can buy alternate camera relocators and ACC kits. With a low mount you don't really need to relocate the camera as the winch is only slightly in view and not blocked completely like a high mount.

I like the look and concept of this setup. Do you have any links to components required for this build?

I added both the reinforcements and battery quick connect, so that it came as a package.

This is the winch that I went with, but options for that are endless. You’ll see on the Maximus-3 website that you can order a complete package winch included.

I have not had to use the winch yet, but I did spool the line out and in to make sure everything functioned properly. I just have the battery side connector coiled and tucked next to the battery, to use it I just pop the hood and connect. I have driven with it mounted some, front camera is still useable, but you will see the winch in your view. I did not weigh the mount and winch, but it is not difficult for me to carry and get mounted in the cradle or loaded into the back.
