The MTs weigh 80lbs compared to OEM BFG at 65lb and other alternatives like Toyo ATIII at 73lbs, Falken AT4W at 78lbs.

I didn't measure their diameters nor radii, but I did chalk test both. Low 30s in the K02s vs. mid 20s for the higher load rated MTs reflect the stiffer MTs. I knew they would be lower but wasn't expecting that low.I had the 37” MTs on my Jeep. The glaring difference I find between the KO2s and MTs is the 1” in circumference at the same psi. Haven’t put on the BRapter yet but will on my next set. Stiffer sidewalls on the MTs. Buy a procal tune, I did.
Chalk test new to me. Does that somehow measure contact patch?I didn't measuredtheir diameters nor radii, but I did chalk test both. Low 30s in the K02s vs. mid 20s for the higher load rated MTs reflect the stiffer MTs. I knew they would be lower but wasn't expecting that low.
Yup. Very simple test to measure exactly that. Just need a bit of asphalt or concrete to drive over, and a stick of sidewalk chalk.Chalk test new to me. Does that somehow measure contact patch?
I have the ProCal installed on my BRaptor. Does it require recalibration if I switch to different 37’s? Like the MT’s?I had the 37” MTs on my Jeep. Seems counterintuitive - if you have more center tire contact from over inflation won’t it wear more of the chalk off the center of the tire?Cover a few knobs fire/aft thoroughly with sidewalk chalk. Roll vehicle very slowly over smooth/flat concrete or asphalt for 100' or so. If more dense chalk remains in center you are overinflated, more dense on edges under inflated. Lather, rinse, repeat. Very accurate. Optimizes for wear and contact patch, NOT for mpg. The latter requires overinflation and that number will be on your door sill placard.
EDIT: Mine were very close to just a tad overinflated at 26 psi (warm). I was surprised how low compared to stock, even knowing they are a heavier load rating.
Clarification: you are looking at the chalk on the asphalt, usually, but your intuition is correct.Seems counterintuitive - if you have more center tire contact from over inflation won’t it wear more of the chalk off the center of the tire?
The engine tune no.I have the ProCal installed on my BRaptor. Does it require recalibration if I switch to different 37’s? Like the MT’s?
