Alternative to consider is the MetalCloak, it has quite a substantial bash plate. I did the install solo with the aid of a hydraulic lift cart I used to use to move pinball machines around.

Sound like your happy. Did yours not come with plugs for the sensor holes? I remember that mine did. If not, simple hardware store fix. EnjoyUnderstanding that this is an older thread but addressing the OP for bumper info, just got the Icon Impact Armor Winch Bumper installed with the skid plate. No winch installed yet.
Quality of the bumper is very high. Entire bumper is 3/16” with excellent welds. Powder coating is very thick and well adhered.
some numbers:
OEM Capable Bumper Weighed 43.5 lbs
Icon Bumper weighed 93 lbs
Front suspension lost 1/4” with the Icon bumper
Next will be adding the winch and suspension to gain some Height back and then some.

It did come with the plugs but I have some paint touch ups after the install. Damned thing is heavy and I scratched it up a bit. Easy rattle can fix.Sound like your happy. Did yours not come with plugs for the sensor holes? I remember that mine did. If not, simple hardware store fix. Enjoy![]()
Just jumping in here to make one small correction. ICON does offer an Adaptive Cruise Control relocation mount to use with this bumper or any other bumper. And of course you could use an ACC relocation bracket from any other manufacturer with our bumper. Carry on.Two reasons why this bumper won't work for me: the winch sits too low, impacting the approach angle; there is no accommodation for adaptive cruise control, which came with my Bronco.
I generally like Icon products, though - I run their wheels, suspension, track bar, and tie rods.
Dusty ironically I just watched your diff drop video on YouTube. Great video so thanks for that.I finally got around to installing mine, and I think it looks great. I went from the ICON non-winch bumper to the winch bumper. Those outboard bumper bolts are a PITA LOL. While I was at it I lopped off the crash bar/body mounts and installed the Lobo Off-Road Erase & Brace kit, just in case I ever make it out of the mall parking lot and actually use the winch in a hard pull. I used an old Platinum 10-S winch I had laying around. Still haven't hooked the winch up though. Looking into putting it on a relay to be armed by one of the AUX switches. Open to suggestions on that. I'm also thinking of fabricating a bar for it that uses the mounting holes that are on the top surface of the bumper, as it looks a little nekkid. (disclaimer: I work for ICON so if you say I'm just a paid shill you'd be right)

I thought about filming this one since its been a while since I've done a video but there wasn't really anything unique or groundbreaking about it and the Internet didn't need one more bumper install video. Plus my shop is a mess right now and I didn't want to have to tidy it up before I began LOL.Dusty ironically I just watched your diff drop video on YouTube. Great video so thanks for that.
Yeah it was a tight fit for me too. I just let the winch push a bit on the plastic grille.I just installed my winch on Saturday. Very tight fit between the grill plastics and the fairlead mounting plate and I actually ended up doing some grinding on my brand new Zeon 10S winch to make it fit taking about a 1/4” off of a bump-out aesthetic ridge on either side of the drum opening.
You can't just hack them all the way off without replacing the body mount. There are a couple of products on the market for doing that but I used the one from Lobo because it also braces the bumper mount on the frame ends, which I think is important if you're winching or using the recovery tabs. I didn't snap any photos of the frame after the surgery but prior to installing the Lobo kit, but there are two install videos on Lobo's product page CLICK HERE that clearly show the process.the crash bar mounts are sticking down and I was wondering if people were hacking them off. Question answered. Any pictures of the hacked crash bar mounts before you added the support bracket?
I see what you're doing there, trying to get me to criticize the company that signs my paychecks but I won't fall for it! LOL@Dusty, I'm curious as why ICON doesn't market it as a system with the engine skid. With it tied into the bumper then tagged back into the frame and diff crossmember it really provides a lot of support to take on downward or upward forces vice just tagging to the front frame mounts.
Love mine & it has performed well on over a dozen winch pulls.
Not at all.I see what you're doing there, trying to get me to criticize the company that signs my paychecks but I won't fall for it! LOL
Anytime, it was great meeting you guys. One step closer to wrapping up the bumper/winch install. Got the winch isolation solenoid wired and the winch rope tensioned. Aux switch #6 is the winch. Thanks Rob AKA Felix808 for showing me your rig and sharing some mod wisdom.
