Good Morning! After a fair amount of research and reviewing posts and pics, I decided to purchase the Mickey Thompson Canyons (17x9) and Kenda tires (315/70). I got a smokin’ deal thru Summit Racing…mounted, balanced with TPM sensors installed and delivered to my door. Also got hub-centric rings and Gorilla lug nuts.

I debated on the Zero offset, especially since I have the painted flares, but I love the look and couldn’t be happier! I do plan a small lift (Hoss 3.0 hopefully) in the near future, which I think will give it the perfect stance.

i did about a 15 mile drive yesterday, no issues. I feel no negative difference in the ride, handling or noise. I was worried it may feel sluggish with the 3.73 gears, but not a problem for the 2.7L.

Amazon cheap mud flaps, Bronco script and Ford retro graphics to come! Oh, and still need to mount the spare. :)

…and I’m sure it’s been posted a million times, but I did remove the front and rear crash bars. Two comments:

- the nut is WELDED to the frame
- I had to remove two small bolts and pull the bumper forward to snake out the front ones. Very straightforward once you figure it out.

I found out the nut is welded, too. The only 15mm I had was a 1/4" drive. Yeah, nope. Broke the rachet.

Great choice! Would the -12 offset option MT canyon wheels bring the tires more inboard closer to the frame or outboard? Did you get the hubcentric rings from summit also?

Thanks!! I think the -12mm would push them out further. Higher positive offset would tuck them in, but then I think you‘d lose some of the deep dish look.

Yes, Summit hooked me up with the hub rings too. Everything was delivered within days of my order, and they even price matched on the tires.

What do the hub centric rings do? Is it something that is needed to mount these wheels? Saw these wheels at the 4Wheel Offroad Jamboree last year in Indianapolis. Beautiful wheels.

The rings are to better center the wheel on the hub when the wheel bore is larger than the hub. I think to some extent the lug nuts help center as well, but I figured was worth the $15 for piece of mind.

It could be done using just the lug nuts, but you had better know how to do it .... plus you will be wrestling a 100lb wheel/tire.
No fun.

With the rings in place, the wheels are now extremely close to centered where they need to be and the nuts do the last tiny amount of centering and clamping.

Man, I love the look of those wheels, but I dislike poke. Same goes for the MT Classic wheels.
Apparently that look is extremely difficult to pull off with these high + offset wheels ... I get it , no dish and it will look funny.

Yeah, I decided style over poke. I think with a bit more lift, it will have the perfect stance, and not too ‘pokey’. :)

I like those wheels, slots have a classic look to them. You just need a little lift and some Sas flares that will cover most of the poke.

Here's my truck with 17x9 -6 offset which is a little more poke but it's a Sas so the flares are wider. My tires are taller but it gives you an idea how the flares would cover them.

The chrome look is definitely killin it. I'm seeing more and more people going to that instead of the all black look. And it's growing on me. Love the look. Thanks for sharing
