When installing my Adam's Driveshafts I didnβt get the pinion nut tight enough, even though I followed the steps to a tee in the workshop manual. I think the splines were a little tight and that's where I messed up.
Anyways, the pinion kissed the diff lock magnet casing and that is where the metal was from. Pulled the case apart and no other metal found and the oil looked great. Now just waiting on a new crush sleeve, pinion nut and seal and it will get put back together this coming weekend.
