Just installed the Leitner ACS. Super easy and very premium.

Things I noticed:
-Fit into painted hardtop slots is pristine, as if it was built for it. Sits flush.
-Rear mounting very robust and very easy to assemble and seat.
-All hardware is torx and super strong
-Cross bars extremely easy to remove and mount.
-Crossbars T slots are a good size and fit Thule crossbar bolts.
-Paint is top notch.
-Front mounts solid and easy to install.

Highly recommend this one. Pricy, but you do get what you pay for. Leitner is also super legit as a rack company.

I agree 100%. Just got back from a trip to Montana where I encountered various weather events mainly windy from all sides. The two cargo boxes attached to the roof rack were solid. Wind noise minimal most of the time except when coming from the side which I attributed more to the shape of the Bronco and cargo boxes—not aerodynamic.

Definitely you get what you pay for. Hopefully Trailrax gets there rack issue sorted out so there is another option for a quality rack.

Anyone have recommendations for a half rack for the painted top? Prinsu and trailmax are not compatible. Haven't gotten confirmation from RCI. Hooke Road says theirs is compatible, but I've heard differing opinions on their racks.

I'm just waiting patiently for the Trailrax release that's hopefully on time at the end of this month. Waited this long already so might as well keep waiting.

Ford Bronco What roof rack for painted top? painted hardtop edited

We wanted to share an update on our Painted Hardtop-compatible roof rack. Our new clamps are now expected to arrive on June 18, as our local manufacturing partner has experienced unexpected production delays and recently provided us with this updated timeline.

After extensive testing, we are confident these new clamps will ensure full compatibility across MIC and painted hardtops while maintaining the same load capacity ratings and sleek, low-profile design our customers expect from TrailRax. We appreciate your patience as we finalize a solution that meets our standards for both performance and fitment.

Any update? I see on the Trailrax website it no longer gives you the warning about painted tops different depth measurements?

It's because they're using the same mounting bracket for both roof options. It seems like they're just making the foot shorter to fit the painted roof.

What about those of us that bought the rack in 2025 and nothing was said at that time about the clamps not working on painted tops? Will you be sending us replacement ones?

@TrailRax I have been watching this post very closely. I recently just upgraded my Ford Bronco (with MIC hardtop) to a Bronco Raptor with a painted hardtop. I am keeping my roof rack from my previous bronco. I just need the roof rack clamps to make this work with my new Bronco Raptor. Can you please provide information when that would be available for purchase?

I see that you only provide that option for people buying brand new but nothing for previous owners. This does not sound fair at all. I would hate to have to be forced to buy something I already own just because the clamps are different.

I enjoyed the setup from my previous Bronco with your roof rack and would like to continue that with my new build. Please help.
