Can the hard top be removed easily with this? I assume no. I have the full TRMR
If you have the full TRMR, then you'd basically have to remove the entire roof rack before removing the hard top.

But if you're talking about the stand-alone Pak Rax... that depends on your definition of "easily" I guess.

You'd have to remove the 8 bolts that bolt the PakRax to the body of the Bronco. But the bracket itself can stay installed. Pretty easy.

Hi @TrailRax , is it going to offer a better fit with a bestop skyrider for a 4dr bronco?
See this post - Its not resting properly due to the width of each item,

Does the crossbars in this setup still allow mounting items on the top? Or is it purely for structural strength and should not be holding any weight?
Hi,
We have not confirmed fitment with the BestTop at this time. That being said, since the side rails are not a part on these, it has a better likelihood of working.

We do not recommend mounting anything to the crossbars. They are there for structural purposes only.

Thank you,

@TrailRax, two questions.....First, can you please confirm that the stand alone Pak Rax will not work on a 2 door? I see that statement on your website and understand the likely reason is the presence of only indented mounting point per side on the 2dr MIC roof. Just asking to be sure since the website allows the 2 Dr stand alone to be entered and priced.

Second, can the stand alone version function with the Pak Rax on only one side? In other words, passenger side would be upper clamps, crossbars on top, and driver side would have upper clamps, lower clamps and Pak Rax mounting plate. Intuitively I don't think this will work since but maybe I misunderstand the load paths.

Thanks
Hi,
The standalone Pak Rax will work with a two door Bronco. At the beginning of design, we ran into some issues, but those have since been solved. The statement on the product description has been removed.

We recommend using both sides as there are structural components on both the upper mounts on the hardtop and the lower mount.

Thank you,

Hi,

The hardtop panels in the front can be removed as per usual. The product will need to be uninstalled to remove the rear portion of the hardtop.

Thank you,

Anyone have any installed pics & feedback on the 2Door stand alone Pax Rax kit?

I’m planning a trip in Oct that will require a stupid amount of aux fuel. Is it possible to mount two 3G RotoPax tanks or one 4G tank on each side?

cheers.

Ah nuts. Thanks, that would explain why I can’t find any content online.

@TrailRax - Please advise if the 2Door Stand alone PackRax is going to happen. Thank you!

Hey! The 2-door stand-alone Pak Rax kit has been a product of ours for a year now!
SEE HERE
Here is the install video, while it is on a 4-door the instructions are the same besides a few of the Pak Rax components.

Bullshit! I looked yesterday after this thread was bumped and it was still in 'pre-order'.

So you changed it overnight and suddenly it's 'been a product for over a year'? Effing liars.

I signed up when this first became a thing for notification, naturally that never happened because it never came to fruition.

So if people place an order, when will it actually show up? Do you have them ready to go or are you going to be stringing people out for months?

It was out of stock and that number was just updated by our warehouse team, that is why it was "pre-order" as of last night because we don't like to sell products when they are out of stock. If you buy it now it will ship out today :)
