Hello. I’m new here. Picked up a pre-owned Wildtrak last year and absolutely love it. I’m getting close to needing some new tires and am curious about going up in size to some 37s. Looking at the Goodrich KM3 tires. I believe the previous owner added a leveling kit. I’m new to all of this so appreciate any words of wisdom. Thank you.

Welcome!

Putting on 37s is doable, but not the most straightforward thing. What you need to do depends on your suspension. If you have Bilstein shocks (Hoss 2.0), any kit that works with the Sasquatch package works to keep the stock suspension. If you have Fox Shocks (Hoss 3.0), your options are more limited if you want to keep the same suspension. At some point, all Wildtraks went to Hoss 3.0 (Fox), but I'm not sure what year that was. To get to 37s with no rubbing, you have to get a lift (I'm not sure if a level is sufficient), Cut off the crash bars in the front and move the tires out (with either new wheels or spacers). You will also want to reinforce the tailgate for the extra weight of the larger spare, or do a delete, if that's your thing.

I have the Hoss 3.0 and it took:

- Zone Offroad Lift Kit for Hoss 3.0
- JKS Max Tire Clearance Kit
- 1.25" wheel spacers
- Mountains2Metal Tailgate Reinforcement

I have wheeled this setup pretty extensively and put thousands of highway/city miles on it. Everything feels very close to stock and I''ve been very happy.

I can't comment on whether the leveling kit will do the trick, but when you go up in lift, you will likely want to go with beefier upper control arms (they are included in a lot, but not all, lift kits).

Anyway, hope this helps.

this has been posted and discussed over and over…Complete can of worms depending on what ya actually do with your bronco and who ya talk to…BFGs run smaller than others so ya may get away with less but in my case 3” lift over Sasquatch (procomp coilovers), JKS kit, upper control arms (For camber alignment), 3/4” body lift, zero offset wheels, track bar relocation bracket, and diff drop did the trick…good luck!

Super helpful. Thanks for taking the time to give me all that info. Here are a couple more pics. I believe I have the Hoss 2.0.
Yup, those are the Hoss 2.0 Leaky Bilstein shocks.
Check the rear reservoirs for the bandaid kit, or if it's leaking. You might get a free replacement set!

max tire kit is not technically necessary.

Durability will suffer. I’m just waiting for my steering rack to explode.

Fuel consumption will be impacted.

BFG 37’s are 35’s

good luck.

Hmm. I’m wondering if I should stick to 35s. If so, what do y’all think is the beefiest looking 35 out there?

It looks like you might have a level kit up front since it looks almost the same as the rear. Check at the very top of your coilovers just under the mount on the frame for a small spacer. You could probably get away with a small 37 like the 37x12.5x17 KO2 or KO3 but with the stock wheels it might rub on the inside crash bar mounts at full turn under flex. I put the Ko2's on my stock base Sas but I have 17x9 with -6 offset wheels and they rubbed a little. So I went with 2" over Sas/Wildtrack and it works fine.

Stock base Sas with 37's:

You look like you have more room up front so I'm guessing a level kit.

Nice find! Welcome to the shenanigan show. It looks like you found one with the PPF paint protective film already applied?? Nice!!

Great pics of the front suspension. It does appear you have some extra lift over stock Sas, yet I can't see the evidence of upper or lower level kit spacers. You could have collars installed, which would explain the height. Regardless, you are in the market for new shoes!
What are your intensions for this chariot of adventure? You are in Colorado, so I am assuming you have plans to travel West to the bumps. The MT, AT, RT market has exploded and there are so many options. You must consider road, rock, mud, and snow. Many of us on here are connoisseur of ATFT......Alcohol, tobacco, firearms and tires. You will find a wealth of experience and straight up opinion to fuel your quest for the right rubber and set up on your pony. Brace yourself!

You may be good with a set of 35 KM3s, if you can afford them. They look good and are capable across most surfaces. I've been running BFG KM1-3 and KO1-2s for decades. Just jumped over to a Maxxis Razr for the Taco from KOs. I am actually happy with the GY Territories from the stock Sas, even if they are gravel catapults. I'll be considering 37s as well when replacing them in a few years.

For reference, here is my 24 BL Sas with a 1 inch level in the front and 1/2 in the rear.
This was all done with 3 different leveling kits combined/mix/matched. Had to install two ring spacers, of different thikness, on the rear and a standard top and bottom on the front.

I am confident I can fit 37 if I decided. There is plenty of clearance with the 35s now. Regardless if I don't do 37s, I like the extra clearance in the front.
