It isnt known (at least Ihavent seen it in writing) that the Filson will have the same horsepower as the Raptor version. Its aimed at a different market.
I’m sure we can fix that ;)

@Bart i disagree. The people currently on retirement, along with others who have no trouble spending will flock to this model AND use it off road. I have seen many older people in Moab taking their Braptors on difficult trails. I’m also interested in both the FILSON and the proposed Lincoln Bronco and would take them on difficult terrain, just like I have with my Braptor. Maybe not Pritchett but for sure Hells, Imogene and Poison Spider.
who you calling old, Mister?! ;-)

That’s pretty much what Ford said…the 3.0 will definitely be detuned a bit, but I suspect the hp will range from 370-385. That shouldn’t be too noticeable considering the Filson will weigh approximately 1,000 lbs less than the Braptor.
Where did Ford say this?

Because people who buy this kind of vehicle can’t stand missing out on any option - no matter how useful it may or may not be to them

Must have every Hero button…
Or perhaps because 4 doors look silly on 32's, and 35's on the small axles/rack/gearing would be pretty silly.

The 3.0lL being detuned from Braptor/Rraptor was explained during its release. A Ford PT should take care of most of the shortfall!
I don’t think they’ve ever said it would be “detuned” (unless I missed it), rather that it would have application specific tuning.

While it’s possible the final numbers may in fact be lower, it’s also entirely possible they can very easily make the power delivery much smoother and in a different manner while still getting the same peak power.
We will just have to wait and see.

The Explorer st makes slightly less hp than the raptor. It's possible the filson makes "only" 400 or so.

Yeah, you can hope that. My bet is less HP. Like you said, wait and see. In other news, Braptor is rumored to move to the 3.5L in the future. Again, wait and see.

I swear I read somewhere that it would be in the high 300s, but I agree that it could be anything. Ford could push a fast over the air update and tune it before shipping if they decide to. 🤘

Also, what up Ducati - didn't someone give you shit years ago for having a motorcycle profile pic? 😂 People are weird

I don’t need to hope, I’m not buying a Filson either way lol
