Just noticed this happening on my Braptor! I tried popping it back in but the front clip would not stay put. Jumped online and saw the recall talk so I’ll be taking it in next week as I can see the concern of it coming off at speed.

the braptor hate is funny.

unless you send your truck off to APG or long travel it with glass, nothing is touching the braptor on dirt.

You get used to the flares and actually come to appreciate them. With the top off, I think it actually looks pretty bad "ass" from the rear (I see what you did there). But the way it drives and its overall capabilities, it's a small price to pay if they don't agree with you visually..
You we talking fat chicks here or Broncos.

Maybe true, but running through deserts at high speed isn't something I want to do so it's kind of irrelevant. Furthermore, something being good at a task doesn't mean it can't be ugly. Braptor is ugly. I never said it's not capable.

Women all look different, Rigs look different... we can't all like the same shapes & styles in both!
BRaptor catches the eye of many... I'd gander to say probably a lot more than the Bronco.

I remember in '75-76, had a CJ5 slightly modified... and buddy had a Bronco he lifted, cut the fenders & installed flares, wide tires, etc... compared to a normal Bronco, that was good looking standing still, let alone off-roading... and it caught the attention of almost everybody... except the few that had a normal Bronco in the group.

Yep... that one might scare me.
They aren't all off-roaders!!!
Tight curvy sports cars are nice too.

I'm sure it does. That doesn't make it look good. Again, I never said the performance was lacking. I said the aesthetics were lacking.

I do agree. The Braptor flares do look like the biggest afterthought since the 1991 Jeep YJ Renegade. Just seeing one initiates the gag reflex.

My parents have a Big Bend with Sasquatch and it's great in terms of proportions...maybe could use another 1 inch of ride height but overall pretty nice. I just can't get into the Raptor awnings hanging off the fenders.

All the BRaptor dislike for the flares, all good input of opinions... can feel the BRaptor love!
Coming from the Other side, I personally find the small, straight flares distasteful. They look like the JC Witney Catalog's tack-on rubber extensions from old school we used to use to get tire under fender for legal rules.

I certainly share your understanding of various reflexes and emotions of reaction... the various degrees of straight extension & Fords after thought to conceal larger tires. Just not appealing, rather Plain Jane... compared to the curvy look!

But I will say, the ability to easily remove the smaller flares with a few flip fasteners is a nice feature. Would have been nice if Ford had made it easier to remove the BRaptor Flares.
