MIC tops are notorious for cracking…..regular gloss black painted MIC will crack too. Linexed MIC top most likely will not crack. As “HalfmuleFarmer” said, why not just buy Bronco with OEM painted top? It is not simply a painted MIC top.

Definitely going to be cheaper to buy the painted top option from Ford instead of getting the MIC top.

Couple that with a lot of people are having cracking issues with the MIC top, and I'm not sure how well the MIC top is going to take to being prepped for painting, since it isn't intended to be painted...and I think you'd be better off buying the painted top even if it IS more expensive.

Oh I see, well in that case, check top carefully all over, especially around rear clam shell windows. Some people are choosing to have MIC linexed.

There would be a lot of labor involved to get an MIC top slick enough to paint gloss black, and then it would probably eventually crack through the paint. I agree that a gloss black top looks great. What body color Broncos are you looking at?
