For me i think it was when i was driving through a blinding blizzard in the Rockies.

The first time I got it airborne. It handled great above 6,000 feet and I knew it was a keeper.

The road trip from VA to New England and Nova Scotia was the honeymoon with the Bronco. The Bronco did great and there was no unmarked trail or sketchy-looking road that I was afraid to venture down. Felt like freedom.

The first rime I effortlessly went over a median islan to avoid a massive traffic jam...and the many more times over curbs, sidewalks, medians etc saving me precious time which it bar none the most valuable non renewable resource haha

Ok here's how it went;
I’d flown into Denver for a quick work thing and decided to drive back home to Salt Lake instead of flying again—figured it’d be a nice solo reset with the new Bronco. The weather looked mostly clear when I left, but you know how mountain forecasts can flip on you.

By the time I hit I-70 heading west past Vail, the sky just dropped. What started as light snow turned into a full-on whiteout blizzard in under 30 minutes. Visibility was maybe 20-30 feet at best, the wind was howling sideways, and the road was disappearing under blowing snow. Semi trucks were pulling over left and right, and I saw a couple of SUVs already slid off into the median.

I switched the Bronco into Mud/Ruts mode with 4H, dropped it into high range, and just trusted the truck. The 4x4 system and those all-terrain tires bit hard even when the pavement turned into a skating rink. The steering stayed composed, and the hill descent control was a lifesaver on the steeper downgrades where you couldn’t even see the lines anymore. I crept along at 25-35 mph for what felt like hours, basically navigating by the reflectors on the guardrails and the faint glow of the rumble strips.

At one point the wind gusted so hard it actually pushed the truck sideways a bit, but the stability control caught it instantly and I never lost grip. I had to pull over once just to clear the snow packed around the headlights and check the winch mount (thankfully didn’t need it), and the Bronco fired right back up no problem in that bitter cold. Other vehicles around me were struggling or stopped—saw a couple newer crossovers that looked completely stuck.

Finally broke through the worst of it near the Eisenhower Tunnel and the sun actually came out on the other side like nothing had happened. I stopped at a pullout, took a deep breath, and just sat there grinning like an idiot. That truck got me through conditions that would’ve had me white-knuckling in anything else I’ve owned. Made me feel like I finally had the right tool for real mountain life instead of just hoping for the best.
Still one of the most memorable drives I’ve ever done. The Bronco turned a stressful situation into a story I actually enjoy telling.

Our first trip with our 23 Badlands was over Tin Cup Pass in Colorado. We live in Kansas so off road opportunities are limited here. Tin Cup is a good trail for first timers. There are few challenging spots and it’s pretty rough and rocky, but nothing to tear up a shiny, new rig. The scenery was beautiful in late September. There were no shelf roads, I hate shelf roads! I don’t mind driving them but the thought of meeting another truck and having to back up sucks.

I've never had the opportunity to be a great traveler like some others (trips to Moab, Johnson Valley, etc.) and so all my travels are precious.
However, one big trip that I was able to swing was my Bronco Off-roadeo in Tennessee. It was one of my most enjoyable adventures.
Maybe situations will allow for more adventure over time, but until that happens I am happy to read about the adventures of others and enjoy hearing about them. Until then I will need to be content with my little adventures around the state of Michigan.

Driving away from the dealer when I first picked up my Bronco. I had just cancelled my 6Gen 4Runner order due to dealer shenanigans, and just sitting behind the wheel of the Bronco made me realize I dodged that bullet.
it just felt like a special event, and that feeling increased as I drove away. That feeling has not dulled in the slightest.
