Had these installed Monday. Getting to old to be rolling around in the driveway at 100 degrees. So far they seem to be a quality product.
Bonus is they hide that unfinished looking pinch weld...Except for the forward 3 or so inches. Anybody have experience making that last little bit look better. Weathertech front mud flaps? A little black paint?

Thanks for posting the pics. I see what you mean about coverage in the front. Is it possible to install some pinch weld covers to help?

Now if my left rear passenger window had not malfunctione 2 days after install I would be happy as a pig in mud.

It has come to my attention that some may have thought that the window bounce back problem I am having is related to the Wolfbox Power Step. Coincedence.
Further research shows Ford screwed the pooch on this and it happening so close to the install of the steps just took away some of the satisfaction of new toy ownership.
My only complaint with Wolfbox is sometimes their marketing on this site seems to be a bit over the top. Again, my problem, not theirs.

Update: After untold attempts to reset my window it finally reset and is working fine. Again this was coincidental with and not causd by the step install. I am extremly happy with the steps.

Does anyone know how these work with the doors off or with tube doors installed?

Just paint the pinch weld area. Cheap to do for a easy fix

maybe use a black undercoat spray or brush on.
That should be very durable

What about loosening the bolt under the step boards and adjust it forward a bit. They may be mounted too far towards the rear wheel.

I was also wondering the same thing. I was thinking about getting these but wasn't sure about the doors-off situation since they're triggered by the doors opening. Usually the bronco acts like unbuckling equals door opening when the driver door is removed... Wonder if that's what happens?

I was wondering the same - it seems like you could, which would also make it look nicer when the steps are out too. I'm thinking of doing the same, as i have the Go Rhino steps - i don't have the front gap but do want it nice even when the steps are active.

i don't have this set, but on mine (which are activated by magnetic sensors), there's basically a kill switch that retracts them and keeps them that way. you could then turn it back on to manually activate the steps (as it would then sense the door open.)

looks like the Wolfbox taps into the CAN bus and stays in the retracted position when the doors are removed - but you can get the optional override switch to operate them manually.

I was thinking I could tap into the manual override and when the doors are off, trunk is unlocked and car in park, extend steps. If car goes out of park, retract steps or if the trunk gets locked, retract steps. If doors are on, work off of canbus.
