I have had the new @BROADDICT TrailDeck compatible table for a few weeks now, so I wanted to do a review for those who are considering getting one, or want to see the clearance measurements for their existing tables.
BLUF — It is a nicely built table, but it rattles like crazy!
Originally when I purchased my Bronco I bought the Jroad table on amazon to try out, it worked for me and did not have a ton of rattling. I added some tape around one of the latches and it tightened it up to no rattles. Unfortunately though, when I bought the TrailDeck I ran into clearance issues and had to remove the table. I awaited the release of the new compatible table from Broaddict, ordered it, and installed it once it arrived. Installation was straight forward, hardware was a little different then my previous table, but I suspect that all tables install roughly the same.
The table is nicely made and I like that it has a folded extension, but I do wish that the lower tabletop had a more positive “clip” into the sides, the extension has two metal legs that you push into receiving holes to lock it in place. The top ”shelf” flips up to open everything and just sits down on top once you open everything, again a positive way to ”clip” it into place would be nice.
Closing up the table is straight forward, pull out the extension (if used) and fold it under, it has “hooks” to keep it in place on the underside of the main table. Lift up the top shelf, fold the table up, flip the sides in, and then lay the shelf down and secure it with the two side latches. This is where I think all the rattling comes from, everything is just folded up and in, only being retained by the top shelf and 2 latches. There are a few rubber bumpers, but they definitely do not help anything on my table.
Hopefully, my issues with the rattling are not the norm, I do not have the rattling issues others have mentioned with my TrailDeck, but it is VERY noticeable with the table. Anyone else install one and have the same rattling issues?
