Is it the glass... or the windshield angle?

Darn, it’s a real bummer. Welcome to Bronco 6G! I thought mine had no impact as well, but the Safelite repair guy pointed it out (very tiny). I’ve read on these forums that some Broncos have had spontaneous cracks in high temps. I recommend bringing it to the dealer; I did. Best case you get a free replacement. Worse case, at least you tried and then can go the insurance route. Highly recommend getting a protective film on the new one. Go OEM too, don’t let them cheap out. I’ve read folks had impacts with protective film and it did its job. Best of luck!
Taking it to the dealership today. Hopefully they will warranty it since there is no impact at all.

We've seen this debated quite a bit over the years.

Some people are convinced Bronco windshields use weaker glass.

Others think it's mostly the upright windshield angle taking rock impacts head-on.

After owning a Bronco, what's your take?

Have your experiences changed your opinion?
It’s the tailgating. Nothing you stick on your windshield will protect you from rocks if you tailgate. I’ve been driving vehicles with vertical windshields for decades and I’ve never had a rock hit me or cause a crack. Sorry to be controversial.

LOL, Right.
Opinionated to sure.
How does tailgating influence the rocks coming off opposing trafic?
