Amazon Music unlimited has a problem in the display going full screen on Sync4 . To like or add a song to your list you need to go full screen if using Amazon Unlimited. I don't know if that's an Amazon thing or a Sync4 issue. But something is off and I'm looking for a solution if there is any.

Which music streaming service have you selected to play on your above average or high end sound system?

Thumb drive with lossless files is your best bet, hands down.

But I’m lazy.

I can tell a difference between Sync Bluetooth and CarPlay wired and wired CarPlay does sound notably better - but CarPlay is glitchy and I hate dealing with the issues on daily basis. So most of the time I just use Sync Bluetooth with Apple Music.

Apple music can choose different formats and has issues with equalizing volume. You might get a lossless file, you might get some Dolby thing that sounds horrible, you might get whatever their current compression is. Some albums are very soft and trying to use volume equalization sounds nasty.

But going back to the lazy thing - it mostly works for streaming new music, integrates my local files well
enough, and I’ve gotten over most of the quirks here.

But a USB drive with lossless files is the most consistently best sounding. I have a thumb drive I keep in the Bronco for when I don’t have cell service; but then I got starlink and Apple Music defaults to lossless on WiFi. So I only used it lately
to tune my DSP.

HAHA LMAO ...... Ok well, believe it or not some people want to go further than replaying their tired old CD collection and care about the quality of the sound they listen to. Hence, they drop some coin on upgrading the shitty sound system Ford installed in these vehicles. ok? Duuude?

Where do you download the lossless flax tracks? I use Spotify and all lossless highest quality settings.

5Gen and I have pretty similar setups - his was professionally tuned though and I haven’t heard it in person but doesn’t take much for me to imagine

Is this question for @Brian_B ?
Umm.. if it is - I have no idea

If it isnt a CD that I ripped myself, or Apple Music and I check the lossless option - but those don’t go on a thumb drive, they stay on the phone in Downloaded playlists

I have had to make a few small adjustments since... All based on personal preference... I know there are some people on here that live and breath this stuff. I know enough to be decent. Yours is probably better than mine. I am good with that. Mine is pretty good though. Night and day over the B&O Ford put in here. AND yes I can easily hear the difference between lossless and compressed signal. That is when I know the system is pretty good.

Ehh - when the idiot that installed and tuning it doesn’t know what they are doing it negates a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if yours sounds better. I’m finally pretty happy with it though.

I have found tuning takes time.... That is all you are saying, It took time. Took me years to get my home audio to where I wanted it and yet... here I am still tweaking a little here and a little there. Move one item in the room and you have to make adjustments.

I did a little cheating with the Bronco... For a starting point I paid some pros....

Interested in hearing (reading) what both @5GENIDN and @Brian_B have upgraded in Broncos. I’m prepping for my ’25 with the Power-9 DSP, etc. (other thread).

I’m not an audio geek, just want better quality in Bronco.

Curious what mods you’ve performed, sound deadening, etc to accomplish the quality sought. Do you feel with the Bronco’s various noises, has it been worth the time & cost.

If all discussed in other posts… link those in.

Apple Music and SiriusXM primarily for me.
Apple Music to me is amazing, I used to build large music files on CDs, then later on USB stick. Apple Music with a quick search has 99.9% of the music searched. Hear an old song on radio, search & add to my Apple library.

Have Apple One Family through VzW, so Apple Music on all my iOS and Android devices… all sync’ed. Couldn’t be easier and simple.

For those quick to express my waste on Sirius, it’s Free. Took 2 Lifetime SiriusXM accounts in older vehicles back when Sirius was relatively new… they offered Lifetime option. Since then, I just transfer the Acct to new Vehicles.
