Hello
I am hoping someone from Ford is monitoring these posts.

I've already tried asking the Ford 800 number and the Ford chat support, both of them want me to ask the dealer and the dealer doesn't know.

Does anyone know, keeping personal opinions out of this, can the rear section be hoisted lifted and supported by the four slits on the rear cover. So that the rear section can be lifted hoisted and stored this way.

This seems to be a very hard subject to Google because then it turns into opinions and no definitive answers.

Thank you for any assistance.

If you search the forum you'll see that plenty of us have done it, including myself who has my two-door hardtop held up by just the two rear ones. However I have not reinstalled my hardtop after swapping to the soft top, so honestly I can't really say if there were or were not any issues.

But if you're looking for someone who will 100% tell you there's no way you'll damage it by doing this, you aren't likely to find that.

Yes, the rear section can be lifted and supported using the factory roof rack slots (the slits on the rear cover), but only if the load is distributed correctly

Can? Yes. DIY and commercial option links below. I think there's another commercially available one, but can't remember the name.

Will Ford state that it is an appropriate lift point? Who knows.
From my experience with Ford corporate and the Ford dealer I purchased mine from -- No They Will Not if there's even a hint of responsibility that could fall back on either of them. Again, in my experience, Ford corporate, on issues such as this defers to the dealers, and then relies on one dealer to stand up and back another when there's a question that could put that dealer (or Ford corporate) at risk of responsibility or accountability.
If, say, you got a reputable body shop, the dealer refers, and does business with any other time, to take your side of an argument, they'll tell you the body shop expert's opinion is irrelevant, unless another dealer will agree with them.

I had this experience trying to get a delaminated hood replaced during the warranty period. I still have the delaminated hood that flutters at highway speed after the dealer says they did everything they could and "that's just the way it is". Corporate couldn't care less and did absolutely nothing to intervene in my behalf.

Yep, not even the Bot . We are on our own. Thankfully we have @Ducati1098 🤠

But yes several have lifted their tops this way. Long term effects? Who knows. Ask Who 🤷‍♂️
