Ford called today they are covering the updated parts for the rattle. I had two recalls done also the rear shocks and software update for the back up camera.

Are all you guys getting the window rattle fix covered by Ford still under the 3 year/36,000 miles? Should I be pushing this harder? I'm sitting at 75k, but had the adjustment done once before to tighten things up before the 3/36 ran out.

If the concern was documented showing that a repair wasn't available yet during your 3/36, then Ford will still cover even out of 3/36 now that a repair is available.

You'll need to show that you inquired about a repair when the SSM still showed an ETA and no repair available for the concern yet.

Thanks! When I had my windows adjusted originally, I don't think there was an SSM out there? I'll have to see exactly when that was done.

Yeah that may be difficult then, but worth a shot either way.

Did the 4-door replacement today. Made a huge difference. No rattling at all now from the front windows. Note: when removing the cover on the handle in the center of the door, pry from the front of the vehicle without pulling back too hard. There are a couple flimsy brittle tabs holding the other end in that could easily break. $250 and an hour of my time weren’t too bad.

I skipped the $1100 dealer fix, but apparently the tech tightened things up somehow because I have zero rattle now.

New to this thread, so playing catch up.......... my driver side front window just started rattling a few weeks ago and had no idea there was an issue. I am 3 1/2 years in. Is there a Service Bulletin out there that anyone can share with me? Or is everyone having to pay out of pocket for this fix?

The repair is covered under 3/36 warranty, if you’re past that, you’ll have to pay for it.
