Oakland, CA has a new DIY garage space with reservable lifts. Garagepass.co recently opened. Nice space near the Coliseum. The owner is an attorney and car enthusiast. The place is insured and has fluid disposal permit.

I changed my diff and transfer case fluids there. And did a thorough inspection. I dont have a good space at home to do this work so it’s great for me!

It’s DIY because you do the work yourself. You rent lift time from this young owner who is trying to start a business.

I hope he succeeds. Because he offers a service I need. So he has at least one customer. And if you notice, all 3 lifts were in use on a Thursday afternoon. Seems like there’s value in the service.

Oh that’s awesome! That’s not far from me.
I have a Ford extended service contract and don’t anticipate needing a lift for my Bronco anytime soon, but I could use a lift for my 250,000mi BMW M coupe. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, with Dan. Yeah, that was a scary day. Fortunately turned out well in the end despite how it looked.

Take a look at the Garagepass.co website. Business model is evolving. I think you can now just rent by the hour. It first started as a monthly subscription with no minimum required or lock-in
