Yep, I considered that myself… not a difficult piece. Busy time and just lazy motivated the prepared manufactured route. Ha… and probably prettier than what I’d make.
I've made a design for a mounting plate, it's attached as a pdf :)
This is specifically for my 2022 4-door wildtrak, and this fire extinguisher mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W1157R8?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1

That looks similar to what I drew up back in February. I found American Adventure’s was little different to keep Extinguisher up higher. They made lower hole even and upper hole higher. Both work…

To my knowledge, fire extinguishers have a common size mount for most Brands.

I have an Element on a magnet on one rear post and on the other I run a quick release CO2.

Nice, I missed the close-up pics in the link you sent. I'm definitely going to keep mine equidistant and will likely slot one of the holes on each so there's some vertical play. :)

Those who are concerned with an electrical fire under the dash or anywhere else in the vehicle should take a hint from motorsports.
Most require a remote battery disconnect.

That’s actually is a great mention.
I do that on RV battery paks and just didn’t give that a thought, but that’s excellent.

This isn’t a bad idea for any Off-Roader to include. Little more work on a Bronco than open cabin race cars.

I have a 2.5lb H3R HalGuard (Halon 1211 5B:C) on a mount in front of the drivers seat (minimal ankle issues personally). I just got a 5lb H3R HalGuard (Halon 1211 10B:C) to have in the back. Halon 1211 is pricy, but has 2x the extinguisher rating of halotron extinguishers per weight.

I was considering a 5lb purple K (30B:C), since it has such a high rating for the weight. If you are on a budget or planning to get an ABC, just go for a purple K, since fuel/electrical fires are the main concern in cars, not class A (in my opinion). As always, it is best to get UL rated extinguishers, which eliminates many of the non-traditional devices. CO2 extinguishers are not recommended at all for outdoor use and have a low UL rating for the size.

I also have a e-tool if we are counting that (good for those class A fires outside the vehicle).

It is all compromise between budget, space, and extinguisher type.

You’ve got a nice set of extinguishers for cabin & engine bay… I’d agree you may want Purple-K or ABC for external.

H3R extinguishers have always been nice looking polished units, and pricey. Halon is the gold standard in performance for volume; correct it takes almost 2x halotron to equal performance.

Halon ceased production in 1994 Globally due to eroding the ozone layer. No longer produced and current Halon is by recycled Halon, which is finite and becoming more scarce. Thus the high price for Halon.

@CalvinT mentioned the Stop-Frey. The Stop-Frey units are similar using proprietary blend of fire suppression gases, including Halon 1211. The Stop-Frey has a longer 20-25 second discharge (Standard, High Capacit) with an even higher price tag: $800-1200.
https://www.ake.com/products/stop-fyre®-high-capacity-fire-extinguisher

Personally, haven’t decided if halon or halotron, but impressed with Stop-Fred’s 2x longer discharge time… that extra 10-15 seconds might be worthwhile.

Here’s the fire extinguisher roll cage adapter plate I fabricated.

The middle screw goes through a chamfered hole in the 1/4” aluminum adapter plate into the roll bar lower factory rivnut.
The top screw goes through both the extinguisher mount and the adapter plate into the roll bar upper factory rivnut.
The bottom machine screw is short and connects the extinguisher mount directly to a threaded hole in the adapter plate.

That’s well designed, keeping it directly over the roll bar. At first I thought you drilled a rivnut hole until a read your description. Is there enough thread in bottom to hold a larger bottle or is it more stabilizing?

I like it, nicely done! Are you considering providing to the Bronco community for sale? What might you require for price?

Just made my own yesterday out of some 16ga steel based on the design I uploaded as a PDF! Yours beats mine to hell though, that is a really nice solution. I just used scrap metal I already had lol. Love the color matched bracket.
Here's my ugly, unpainted bracket, which I'll paint when my motivation is a bit higher:

As you can see, it's a little tight against the roof... Hopefully won't be an issue with my EZ4x4 roof lift helping me remove the top.

Looks great! It does the task at hand, lot better than a hose clamp for 2nd mount too!
And it was same day, no order & shipping! Ha!

I use the EZ4x4 lift… that’s in the center and won’t interfere.

I moreso meant that I hope the roof doesn't hit the extinguisher when I lift or lower the roof haha, not the lift - hopefully the stability of the lift allows me to control it well enough to avoid a collision lol. But thanks, it was a fun lil project!!
