Anyone have any idea what could cause the steering rack to click. Just noticed this when turning the steering wheel left but I guess when taking the video it kinda does it both ways. It’s noticeable from the driver seat. It seems to be coming from the center so I’m assuming the steering rack.
Do you have pics of the bottom engine skid plate? I’d like to see how it would join with my RCI skids if possible. Do you know if it works with the factory skids for the mod bumper also?
Just an update on mine. So far it seems mine has been solved. I took my bronco to the dealer for a second time for front pinion seal failure and also had them check out the thump feeling in case it was the cause of the premature failure. They tried the PCM update as mentioned a few pages ago on...
Did any of you exhibit the symptoms on the thread link below? I’m wondering whatever is causing this is causing premature failure of the seal? I had my pinion seal changed last month with the new part number, now I have another appointment in 2 weeks to get it changed a second time for an even...
I have this problem as well. Sometimes I can feel it if I brake almost to a standstill and release the brakes to coast. So I can’t say it’s the brakes if the tires never even stop moving for the pads to stick to the disc?
I have an appointment in two weeks to get the front pinion seal change...
I have the front skid that fits the modular bumper. But I think it’s the same as the capable bumper if you can confirm. $250 I’ll be in Dallas this weekend.
No solution. I did some reading and watching videos of broncos and other vehicles equip with the same 10 speed auto. It seems to be a normal characteristics of the transmission. I think it has quiet down some now that in at 17k miles though… still audible but not as loud.
This was actually another issue I’m experiencing. Not related to this thread I believe. But I have a leaky front pinion seal and the dealer has the part on order. It’s a waiting game now since the part is on back order. I will report if it fixes what’s described on that thread or even this.
heres a thread on that. From what I gather a PCM flash fixes it? I may take my bronco in at 15k to check this problem out again. They couldn’t replicate the first time.

Yeah… seems more noticeable now that it’s cold. I had originally thought it quiet down because it’s broken in more, but that doesn’t seem like the case and it may have been because the weather was warmer? I’m at almost 14k miles now.
I do have another oddity. When I’m driving and have to brake...
