After some research decided the cheap aluminum straps are a bad idea. Making a support cradle instead, still need to add the gussets and some rubber lining.

Almost done, just a few more fittings to connect the vent lines, install the straps and the skid plate.

Now to lengthen the evap and fuel lines

Just got word the fuel tank is ready…. Install starting tomorrow!

Still waiting on the tank to be done at the weld shop. So I went ahead and finished the fuel pump harness extension. 6.5ft should allow for me to mount it along the frame, out of harms way.

More progress today…got the tank dropped and determined the lines, splices, and connections I’ll need to make it work. The oem pump flange from Boyd is perfect. Pump height is spot on too, won’t need to extend the support rods. Should have the tank back from the welder in a few days. Hopefully...

Would be relatively easy to add this tank and skid setup as an auxiliary tank I’ll post a list materials I used once I get it finished.

Started the process of relocating the fuel tank to the rear. Capacity is 17gal same as stock. This will allow for a true triangulated 4link setup. Also it allows for trail repair of a fuel pump without dropping the tank. The bottom of the tank sits flush with the bumper. Also picked up a muffler...

Mocked up the fuel tank… it’s almost too perfect, should be pretty easy to route the lines for the evap system and fill neck.

The rears were garbage, folded after sending the tire into the fender well, the tire grabbed the edge and folded it. The front have held up pretty good.

Ordered the tank and OEM pump flange. Ready to make this happen! I found a skid that will probably work with little modification. Rock Hard 4x4™ Muffler Skid Plate for Ford Bronco 2021 - Current [RH-60507]

Found an “off the shelf” tank that should fit, same capacity as stock. Still going to make a template to be sure, but I think this is what I’ll be using.

Took some preliminary measurements, but this is promising. Time to breakout the cardboard and duct tape 😂

Going to start working on the next big project earlier than I thought. Switching to a fuel cell and relocating to the rear. Found all the pieces needed to relocate it just need to start ordering and get it done. Starting with the pump flange and tank.
