Found an “off the shelf” tank that should fit, same capacity as stock. Still going to make a template to be sure, but I think this is what I’ll be using.

The rears were garbage, folded after sending the tire into the fender well, the tire grabbed the edge and folded it. The front have held up pretty good.

Mocked up the fuel tank… it’s almost too perfect, should be pretty easy to route the lines for the evap system and fill neck.

A few updates on the build, finished the solomotorsports UCA double shear mounts, stinkyfab body mounts, fuel system modifications, diff drop, and got rid of the carpeted rear panel. Finished remounting the powertank too.

Man I’d really love to keep putting work into the Bronco but I ain’t’ got ”rock crawl bronco” money” truthfully. I’m struggling coming to grips with spending a gazillion dollars and hours trying to make the 6th gen into a slightly less reliable/electronic version of something I can do for like $15k on a TJ or something (vehicle included lol). I think I’m going that route.. been that direction in the past and its a much easier pill to swallow which for me makes it more fun. I can build and break, build and break that direction 10x before I ever come close to bronco money. I love seeing your work tho!!!

Had a great shake down run at Uwharrie this weekend. Fuel system works flawlessly, no CELs. Suspension feels the best it has ever been. Although now I want more tire and lower CG. Probably going to cut the fenders and see what I come up with for the front setup and mock up a true double triangulated 4 link for the rear or possibly a longer coilover and boxed trailing arm setup

New Year…New Look!!
Swapped out the Metalcloak bumper for a new Icon Pro. Finished coating the grille and the hard top with Monstaliner. Just need to work on the fenders then it’ll be ready for bigger tires. Need to start on new 4link too.

Some updates to the Bronco…
Broke a RCV passenger inner CV and broke the rear locker.
RCV has sent a new center shaft and rebuild kit.
For the rear I was lucky enough to find a new UD60 with an ARB air locker and 5.38 gears for $2500, steal of the year for sure.

I broke my passenger side RCV last year and just got around to have the rebuilt unit swapped back in. Wow, that’s a hell of a deal on the 60 rear!
