March/April 2024
We attended the San Diego Bronco's monthly meet-up at Fall Brewing Co.
For Spring Break, we took the Bronco out to Lake Havasu for some off-roading fun on the CA side.
Lots of trails!
We saw lots of wild burros, petroglyphs, and stopped to read the kiosk signs:
We also got a new vehicle to start making products for:
2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road
We then met up with a small group for a trail run from Pioneer Town to Big Bear, CA thru Burns Canyon.
It was a fun day on the easy trail with a few optional obstacles and lots of mud puddles. Unfortunately, even with by-passing much of the mud, we still ended up killing the alternator and had to limp it into the closest Ford dealer with about 5 jumps! Heading down the mountain with 11.7V was nerve-wracking! Dropped to 11.1 and then died as we pulled into an auto parts store for a jump. Due to the tight terminals on the Bronco, it was difficult to get the cables attached.
The dealer replaced the alternator and battery and added a shield... all covered under warranty due to the TSB 22-2392.
While being fixed, we flew out to Knoxville, TN to attend the Super Celebration East. So many cool Broncos... wish we had ours there!
A few of our favs:
We gave away close to 200 keychains, 50 s'mores kits for the kiddos, about $1k in raffle prizes, and countless stickers!
