  3. Amazing Crash, Toyota FJ Cruiser

I'm not terribly surprised on the outcome, but glad I kept my 07 FJ instead of trading it in for the 23 Bronco. From Google The 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser received good crash test ratings, earning five stars from the NHTSA for driver and rear passenger side-impact protection, and a top IIHS...
  4. Light-hearted 2dr/4dr question to current and former Jeep Wrangler owners

I agree it's all in fun even though there is no such thing as a 4 door Bronco 😁
  5. The 4A Advantage

Right of course. I don't think I did a very good job of explaining what I meant when I started this thread. In 4H with the t- case locked with 50/50 torque applied to the front and rear axles on snow packed roads and ice 4H is fine . But those portions and parts of the road you come across dry...
  6. The 4A Advantage

Having lived in places like Colorado and Minnesota with 1st and 2nd Gen Bronco's and having to frequently shift in and out of 2 high to 4 high on icy , snow and wet pavement conditions all in a 5 minute span was just a way of life and never put much thought into it. Living here in Atlanta we...

  8. Did the 2.7 engine improve?

Interesting you mentioned that I was getting a slight chatter at cold start up for a couple of seconds up until about 12,000 mi when I stopped using the Ford motor oil and switched over to Valvoline full synthetic. Problem solved.

  12. Offroaders: What do you do for paint protection?

I'm using PPF, Expel, I tinted windows for 20+ years so I went back to my old shop that I used to work at and installed the PPF myself while not exactly the same concept as window tinting but close enough and came out really well. I used their plotter and cut out the rest except the back...
  13. 2.3L Octane -- 87 vs. 93 -- 93 wins on power, what about long-term?

I used the Ford recommended oil(from Ford)the first 4 oil changes. And ever since I bought this Bronco with the 2.7 on cold starts I would hear those cam phasers rattle for 2-3 seconds. 3000 miles ago I couldn't make it to the dealership so I stopped at the local oil change shop and they put in...

70-80% vlt (visible light transmission) is good choice for the windshield, not so dark to where it's hard to see out at night almost invisible during the day and cuts a lot of heat out. The ceramic nanotechnology offers a higher infrared heat rejection over your traditional dyed films or...

    A solid front axle.
  18. 2025 Badlands Bronco will have Fox 2.5 inch live valve shocks (per Ford at NORRA Mexican 1000 race)

There are no plans for Ford to install the Fox live valve 2.5 for the 25 Badlands at an capacity. They might prep one for a Mexican 1000 race that I would not know. But for production in 25 for the Badlands, no.
  19. Bronco Market Share down to 25%, while Jeep is 40% and 4Runner 35%

Yeah well you know the death wobbles is*mostly*(I say that with caution) a Jeep problem. To each their own but the SFA has far more pros than cons.
  20. Bronco Market Share down to 25%, while Jeep is 40% and 4Runner 35%

Exactly, in order for Toyota to compete with Ford and Jeep they have to utilize the turbo charger for smaller displacement engines to squeeze more HP/TQ and better fuel economy. And everyone knows Toyota's secret was NA engines which equals longevity . Not true anymore
