My guess is you have something dripping onto the exhaust. Part of the job requires bleeding the clutch, which shares the same fluid as the brake master. I crawled under mine and noticed the fuel line flopping around that was definitely not right. I doubt your prob is internal to the trans, but...
Never a bad idea to do a quick check on their work before leaving. They returned mine with the brake fluid cap sitting on the battery and a loose fuel line due to a misplaced bracket. Granted, I was probably the first MT Bronco TSB my dealer did.
22 Sas with 17k. Noticed this rotating tires. No accidents, donāt see any creases in the tailgate. Iām guessing over torqued and/or maybe temp fluctuations. Iāll check with the dealer. Anyone else?
Seems like thereās more than a few people that had the rev D Synchro TSB done and then the noise returned (myself included).
Anecdotal evidence? Maybe.
Whatever, Iāll probably get the extended warranty for when my trans grenades.
I had a couple barely hanging on as well that I replaced. Wouldnāt hurt to squirt a little fluid film in there before PPF. I wish I would have done that years ago on my 24 year old F-150.
I wouldnāt hesitate to cover them in PPF. They arenāt supposed to be removable as far as I can tell, though a few of mine fell off and had to be replaced.
After I had my MT TSB done I looked over the work when I got home. Found a couple undone clips and a loose fuel line that was flopping around and rubbing on the trans. Took a video for the dealer and they had me come back in the next day. Turns out the tech forgot to install a fuel line bracket...
