  1. How did I do, New Bronco Purchased!

I think walking into a dealer, getting a high spec bronco, and driving that car off the lot is still a pretty good deal. I think "most" people who do better are either waiting a long time or buying a lower spec and then customizing. I think you can feel good and enjoy the purchase without...
  2. Dented Door Sill?

We did not figure it out. Body shop said it had to be something heavy dropped (our dent was a real dent where yours look more like door dings). We had it pulled out, cracked the paint... touched up... no new issues. Good luck.
  3. Dented Door Sill?

Those look even harder to diagnose than mine. Seatbelt getting jammed in door?
  4. Dented Door Sill?

OK. So here is the update: 1. There have been a couple of good hypotheses regarding the cause, but... This was not "pre-paint"., nor was it the front seat installation. I've had the car for 5 months and this is new within the last week or two. I did look under the door. There is no matching...
  5. Dented Door Sill?

I thought of that, but this is the lower sill and toward the front of the car. The amount of slack in the belt is beyond what I've seen. Typically, you can catch the belt in the side sill, but not all the way down by the step.
  6. Dented Door Sill?

Taking it over to the dealer to get an opinion, but after that will try the PDR route.
  7. Dented Door Sill?

Just found this dent in the door sill of bronco. It's in the rear door which really is only used by kids who weigh 100-130lbs. Looks like the sill just could not handle the weight, but that seems absurdly fragile. Anyone else with this kind of issue?
  8. Rear Facing Child Seat & Stroller in a 2-Door Bronco -- My Experience

More question than suggestion. Have you tried to put one back seat down and put the carrier in through the tailgate. I would imagine that you'd literally have to crawl into the back to get it done, but might require less severe contortions than squeezing behind the passenger seat. Just an idea.
  9. Driving on wet paved roads?

same tires as the obx. will definitely be picking something different for the next set.
  10. Driving on wet paved roads?

No, 4A is about a $1500 option on the OBX and I think it was on the constrained option list when I ordered. I've been putting it into "slippery" mode using the GOAT control and that definitely solves the issue... but just wanted to get some perspective from the communal intelligence about how...
  11. Driving on wet paved roads?

Thanks. I feel a bit less incompetent and/or nuts.
  12. Driving on wet paved roads?

I have the standard 4-wheel system. No 4A. Just 2H, 4H, 4L (or their various goat flavors).
  13. Driving on wet paved roads?

I'm an experienced driver (cue scene from rainman), but its been about 20 years since I drove anything that wasn't front- or all-wheel drive. I have a 2.3, 4-door, soft-top OBX with stock non-squatch tires. I am finding that on wet paved roads, its fairly easy to lose traction during...
  14. Looking for interior input from current owners

We have 4 drivers and 3 of us drive luxury brand SUVs. Our most recent car is a bronco outerbanks with mid package AND leather seats. I think the leather seats are really good upgrade for three reasons. First, they just look better and will be more familiar if you and your wife are used to...
  15. Eddie Bauer throwback Bronco 6th gen build w/ tan hardtop, fender flares, spare tire cover

I think two mods to make this more accurate and better looking: 1. Paint the front module of the hard top green. 2. Posted earlier by low country and beach bum, use the ranger stripes from underground graphics and leave the flares black.
  16. I GOT BUCKED!

I dont want to bring a lot of holier than thou hate down upon myself... but for those into these little games, amazon has the following:

  18. 05/30/2022 Build Week Group

More progress... 6/4 blend. 6/7 into production. 6/28 built/awaiting shipment. ordertrack.app just moved from "in production" to "in transit". It's convoy from MI to PA... so hoping to see it early next week?!? edit... just got a chat confirmation from ford that it shipped and they gave me...
  19. 05/30/2022 Build Week Group

just checked with ford chat. my delivery date supposedly moved up from 7/11-17 to 7/10. Not necessarily holding my breath, but that's a lot better than moving the other direction. Convoy. Still "awaiting shipping".
