I have the Twill Skyrider, and I really dont notice the Color difference. It may not be as bad as you anticipate, once you start using it. I'm very pleased with the product.

For the greater 6g good, the best test would be to try that rack with a Skyrider, and see if the rack keeps the softtop from lying down. It would seem that that rack with a Yakima basket would be even worse than the TrailRax half-rack! But trying is knowing! @TrailRax you might look at making...

The extra height isn't functionally a problem, but it is a bit high. When it warms up, I plan to make a couple of notches in the front corners of the rack, and see how much that lays it down, for the greater good, and all that!

Sounds good! That's why i didn't pay someone to install, I wanted to be able to do the reverse. Good to know its pretty easy. Here in Charleston, SC, I'm not sure what my Softtop season is going to be! My current plan is to put the hardtop back on for the Summer, its too hot for open top!
