I don't do anything crazy, but I enjoy taking her out on a mild/moderate trail or the beach sometimes! The base setup is quite capable.
Also, love what you've done with yours. One of your photos I came across sold me on committing to that bumper it should be here any day

My 4wp bumper has been awesome! It’ll look great with yours.
We didn't get many photos last time I was at Uwharrie. That was the most difficult trail system I have been to.

I don't think I've taken her out at all since I've actually put coilovers on. I'm overdue, it's just been a very hectic year. Time to plan an adventure soon.
I've been looking for a high clearance bumper that doesn't look stupid with the front crash bar receivers being too visible. I've come back to 4wp several times but wasn't 100% sure if I would like the larger bull bar without a winch in place.. Then I saw this pic of yours and was like... okay, sold! The 4wp bumper is awesome! It’ll look great on yours
There was really only one time where I was concerned about whether I would make it up over this obstacle without the fallback of lockers (pretty gnarly washout on a moderately steep grade) and my Bronco walked up it with a very specific line, smooth as can be. I think it just helps you plan more and learn the basics of it all vs relying on lockers getting you out of everything.Excellent idea for a new topic!!
The question always comes up whether a person should order the Squatch package or not.
My reply is always, "From my experience with Classic Broncos, you will be amazed at how far 33's and open diffs can take you."
(I haven't had my 6G Base offroad yet)
Now, I've bookmarked this thread and can add that to the reply next time it comes up .... and hopefully add my own pics sometime soon!
Glad I can help! This bumper had held up well and it’s one of my top choices for sure. It’s about 2 years old and there are no signs of rust or anythingI've been looking for a high clearance bumper that doesn't look stupid with the front crash bar receivers being too visible. Granted, I don't intend to trash a 50k$ vehicle so my trail choices don't push it like some do. Maybe eventually![]()
Lockers would be really nice to have, but I can still make it up 95% of things I try. I’ve added full skids underneath since I have to “full send” a line choice sometimes lolThis is a good thread, because I'm sure there are a lot of us out there with open diffs. When I was at the TN OffRodeo this month, there was a new owner standing next to me during a demonstration. She didn't even know if her new Outer Banks had open diffs (she initially didn't even know what a diff was). I assured her that what she just witnessed could have been accomplished without a locker; line selection and spotter, skill level and patience nearly always wins the day when lockers would be nice.
I've had open diffs for 25 years and have never gotten stuck, but much of that is where I live and having sense enough to stay away from bad situations. I know that if I *do* have to get myself in that position, traction boards, shovel and a manual winch comes into play. Think of the money and mechanical complexity saved!
I attended the Bronco Off-Roadeo last November; we pushed the SAS Broncos through some fairly rough terrain, and met on the opposing side of a creek.Great pics guys! Stock vehicles are way more capable than people give them credit for.
