I really like this rack and having ability to remove the roof panels still. Having lettering that could be confused with "HOOKER DAD" is.... well.........unfortunate
Maybe instead of having ducks left on your rig, you’d have dolla bills tucked discretely in your tailpipe.

@Hooke RoadĀ® Do the brackets have a liner or something to protect the hart top from marring? I have a painted top so would like some separation there.

I guess you need something like rubber pads. But we don't provide.

I have this rack and the mounting pads are lined with rubber to prevent scratching the hard top. It works well. I got mine used on this forum

Thanks for the update. I wonder why @Hooke RoadĀ® says they don't come with them.

I have and use both the Ford Factory rack and the Hooke 1/2 rack.
I use the Factory rack for ski season to mount my ski racks and use the Hooke 1/2 rack for summer so I can take off my top panels and also carry any beach/camping gear.

My Hooke 1/2 rack came with rubber pads to protect the top.
I also purchased the following Track Mount Tie Down Anchor at Amazon for the Hooke Roof Rack which are very useful to tie down any gear.

Found at Amazon - M8 Heavy Duty Ring Shaped Eye Bolt, Stainless Steel T Bolt Eye Nut Tie Down Rings. They fit into the channels of the crossbar, but I had to grind the T-bolts a little for them to fit/slide into the channels of the crossbar. They easily adjust/slide to the width of the gear you are carrying.

What are the tradeoffs between the version with aluminum cross bars and the one with Steel cross bars? From what I can tell there is a load difference, and a weight difference, but overall very minor. Just curious why they have 2 versions and the tradeoffs between them.
