EZ4x4 Hard Top and Door Removal Storage System Review and Discount code

TL;DR — @EZ4x4 Setup Review (Door Cart + Top Lifter + Alignment Pins)

Removed all doors and the hard top by myself in 26 minutes (with a little help from my Milwaukee m12 ratchet and 3D-printed bolt holder 😅). The ONLY way to fit my truck and parts into my tiny and packed garage.

The EZ4x4 system makes everything effortless — the door cart, top lifter, and alignment pins all work perfectly together and make solo removal not only a breeze, but possible for a vertically challenged girl like me. code “EMMAWEB” for 10% off your ENTIRE EZ4x4 order.

What I Got
  • EZ4x4 Top Lifter
  • EZ4x4 Door Cart
  • EZ4x4 Alignment Pins (for reinstalling doors)
I ordered Oct 2 and everything showed up Oct 7 — fast shipping and solid packaging.

Setup was simple and took me about an hour total thanks to the online video instructions on their website. Super straightforward once you see it done. I've seen plenty of negative feedback on the lack of assembly instructions, but I don't understand why. Printed instructions as well as video instructions are great.

EZ4x4 Door Cart

  • FITS RAPTOR DOORS! I went through two different “universal” door carts before realizing none of them fit the Bronco Raptor doors because of that little fender flare bulge on the rear doors. The EZ4x4 cart is just wide enough to clear it. Thank God.
  • I compared it to the Top Lift Pro version, but chose the EZ4x4 because it holds the doors by the hinges instead of resting them on the paint or plastic. That alone was a huge win for me.
  • I was a little nervous about the smaller casters not rolling over the 1" lip between my driveway and garage, but it had no trouble at all.
  • Super lightweight, folds up compactly, and easily fits in the back of the truck when not in use.

EZ4x4 Top Lifter

  • The lift system is simple, smooth, and infinitely adjustable! No annoying pins, locking mechanisms, or preset holes like other brands. That makes it way easier to lift or lower the top in tiny, controlled increments, which is a lifesaver when you’re working solo.
  • It easily supports the full hardtop, center panel, and both front roof panels, all while being easy to move and adjust.
  • Huge space-saver—I can park right underneath all the roof pieces once they’re up.
  • It folds down effortlessly and takes up almost no space when stored. Even folded, it’s still on wheels, so you don’t ever actually have to lift the heavy frame to move it.

EZ4x4 Door Alignment Pins

  • These pins mount directly to your door hinges, so you never have to swap the factory cone pin in and out every time.
  • Before I got these, I’ll be honest — the Bronco Raptor doors felt too heavy for me to line up confidently on my own. I was always nervous about scratching something or chipping paint. Now, I can do it completely solo without worrying. The doors just drop right onto the lower pins while I can focus on aligning the top pin.
  • Installation was super simple: screw them in, tighten them down, and that’s it. I checked torque snugness after a couple uses, but nothing loosened up.
  • They stay on full-time, which saves me from having to reinstall anything each time I take the doors off.

Final Thoughts and Coupon Code

The EZ4x4 setup completely changed how I take the doors and top off my Bronco Raptor. Everything fits, works smoothly, and actually makes it fun to do solo instead of stressful. The quality and thought that went into each piece really shows.

Honestly, I wish I’d gotten this setup sooner.

If this review helped or made your choice easier, you can use code “EMMAWEB” for 10% off your ENTIRE EZ4x4 order. And if you have any questions or want tips on setup or storage, feel free to reach out — happy to help!

Got one of these a couple weeks ago for my 2 DR, but haven't assembled or used due to it cooling down here now. How was the actual assembly of the top? BTW, that's a great looking Raptor, love that color with the matching flares.

Assembly of the Top Lift and Door Cart was not difficult at all! The video instructions on their website are great. It took about an hour to unbox and put together both the Lift and Cart.

As far as taking off the top and putting it back on , it also super easy! The back portion was the part that was difficult, mostly because I had to wait for an assist from my husband or friends (or super wonderful neighbors 😜) and then I was left with the large back portion of the top just kind of in the way of everything, haha. With the EZ 4x4 items, I can do everything solo and pretty quickly too. Which is awesome. For me it is driver’s side panel, passenger side panel, middle panel and then back. For you it should be the same minus the middle and then reverse order to put it back on. Ford has a good step by step break down on their website if you’re a visual person! The provided tools take forever.. if you have an electric ratchet it’s much faster.

Looks like you found the right solution for me to take off my doors and top. It looks like it has a narrow footprint though. Were you not concerned about this tipping to the side or is most of the weight low and stable?
It’s getting a bit cool here in the Northeast, but as springtime rolls back around, I’m sure I will be purchasing one of these. Where did you buy the 3D printed bolt holder?

The base, when unfolded, is pretty wide and it is VERY stable. I do not have any concerns with the top falling.

I 3D printed the bolt holder 😅 if you want one you can message me.

Nice write up, thanks

I bought their alignment pins but haven't used then yet.
The alignment pins helped me a lot. The doors are really heavy for me, and with the Raptor being as tall as it is compared to me, it was really hard to focus on lifting the doors high enough while also aligning everything. Once you put them on, you just leave them on, no big deal!

Yesss! It’s seriously a life saver! Our garage is not huge like I have seen some people post and it’s sloped a tiny bit like yours. I’m not sure if you saw it but there’s an adjustment spot for the top lift and on how much it tilts. It took a few times of putting the top up and rolling it back into the garage to see exactly which notch I needed it on, but the perfect spot for me is the second up.

I had it on the second spot, next time I will go up 1 or maybe even 2 notches. My garage is tiny, barely fit, I had to hoist it higher than I thought. Lift is very handy, used it to pull the spare when ceramic coated the tailgate. Great product!

You're awesome! I almost didn't say anything because I didn't want it to seem like I was correcting you 😅 but just in case you didn't know!

It took me a few tries to find the exact right notch because once the top is on and up it's fine haha. I have to lower mine to get into my garage and then raise it to park below it. It's a fun song and dance, having a small garage but it's so cool they make products like this so there is a work around!
