The tailgate mounted enclosure have some l hangers that go into the vents in the tailgate to align it and they use 4 rivnuts straight into the tailgate to hold them

I used to do this stuff all the time in the late 80's, 90's and early 00's. The audio in my '25 Bronco could certainly be better but the juice just isn't worth the squeeze for me.

I respect the game but I am just too lazy for this level of work anymore.

Exactly my sentiments .... but i guess in the end its all about the results and if you're happy.

I got the same Stinger set up but I feel like it can be better if I changed the woofer to a Kicker or something similar.... just feel like it will get more oooomph so to speak. What do you think?

I see. Just 4 rivnuts I guess with hangers taking most of the load. Wonder what happens to the tailgate venting efficiency with vents covered?

If the kicker can go in that box with that airspace I say go for it! Let me know if you try it and how it sounds!

There is still that giant lump over the door latch that is open internally to the vents

I was just thinking the exact same thing…. Minus the swing gate sub cuz I have the two door and. I need all the trunk space I can get

I want to redo my speakers to an upgraded amp after realizing I really want some of those 6.5 Memphis kickers but the kicker key amp really isn’t strong enough to run those even in bi-amp mode.

I should have taken more time to research the audio system but the base system was such trash I needed something.

I have zero complaints on my stinger sub, used Audison for the amp as d speakers, had it installed. Massive upgrade, and at 75 with top off I still get good sound.
