I'm at 7k now. It's just part of the regular engine noise on mine. I went to supercell and spent a few days there, I heard it on other 2.7s as they were starting up.

2 different concerns.
Phasers make a very pronounced rattle for 1-5 seconds on cold start up only.
The slight ticking/knocking noise when cold at idle and acceleration before the engine is warmed up is a normal characteristic.
There are separate SSM's for both concerns.

Yeah the 2.7 is just a noisy engine when cold (with the exception of cam phaser issues which is easy to hear).
Once the engine warms up a bit and all that cold start, smog warm up crap goes into normal mode, it quiets down.
