Cold Start rattle?

Yes. They told me it’s safe to drive while waiting on parts to repair. I put 1500 miles on while awaiting parts.

They finished my windshield replacement and told me to come get it since my rental agreement is up but they didnt have a safe to drive order from Ford.

Yes, that is the method prescribed by Ford. The mechanic that worked on mine did not do this however. He dismantled the grille, fenders, etc and performed the work that way. 10k miles later and running great.

How long was it in the shop? Since it's under warranty does Ford give us a rental?

They had it two weeks. Not sure about the rental, I didn’t need one so didn’t ask them for one.

Less than a year after getting the cam phaser repair on my Bronco, the issue appears to be back. When I started it this morning, the rattle was back like before. I parked it, and it sat for about two hours. When I started it, the rattle was there again. I dropped it at my dealer for them to diagnose. Dang!
