I currently own 2 Broncos...ya lucky me! So this weekend I did kinda a dumb thing. I THOUGHT the key fobs were completely passive, and if I programmed the fobs for one Bronco as spares for my other one, and vice versa, that I could have 4 fobs that work in both...BIG MISTAKE, PSA for anyone thinking about trying this, after you program a fob as a spare it changes something in the fob, where it WILL NOT work in the previously programmed vehicle, and I ended up w/one Bronco that had 4 keys and one w/zero...AAARGH!
Long story short I was able to use FDRS to program the 2 fobs that I switched, back to their original vehicle...but that was a real cluster, and I nearly had to give up and have it towed! My question is is it at all possible to program a single fob for multiple vehicles? would this require some kinda aftermarket "super" fob? Nice to be able to move either one when needed, w/out having to walk around w/a pants full o' fobs!
